Nathaniel, I had a 2006 model Mazda 5 Sport Base I've never driven the Mazda MPV so I'm not sure how it compares to the Mazda 5 which isn't really a Minivan it's a Crossover Sport Wagon according to Mazda and while overall these are great vehicles built on the Mazda 3 platform in Hiroshima Japan the only drawback I found is that they aren't great at climbing steep mountain roads and the third row seats are more for children than adults.

It’s considered a wagon. Anyways, I have a 2010 Mazda5 Grand Touring and let me tell you that it’s been nothing but good to me. Only two problems I have with it include a noisy cabin at highway speeds, and the rear camber is set to have too much negative camber, which leads to the rear tires wearing prematurely from the innermost side. Other than that this is a very good vehicle.
