I can remember being in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1994 on a hot and humid August summer's night. I was only 12 years old, in my last year of Little League and my friend's dad had the patience to take 3 of us to see a ballgame at historic (site of longest professional baseball game) McCoy Stadium. That night a seemingly packed house witnessed an incredible offensive display courtesy of Stairs' 3 Homeruns and a double that looked like it had a chance to make it a 4th dinger. A memory that a now 40-year old man will share with his son (a 4-year little man). I wonder if anyone else has witnessed this game or remebers hearing about it?

What a team the 2008 Phillies were... Brad Lidge a perfect season for saves. Unreal.

"Stairs rips one into the night". Phenomenal call. Hate Buck all you want. He has some of the best Philadelphia sports calls ever.

in the world series, howard's 3-run oppo shot to make it 5-1, buck's call: "howard hits it into left, ball will carry...out." with the most disdain in his voice. he has way more bad calls than good ones. Franzke and Anderson had the best call for Stairs' hr.

Dodger's should've won this game, man. Still pisses me off 12 years later.

How so

@@paulcannizzaro7320 They were winning by 2 going into the 8th. The bullpen totally fell apart and the Phillies put up 4 runs on 2 home runs in the 8th. All their hard work was undone by one big inning.

The 2009 NLCS is the one that still gets me. Can you imagine what a Dodgers vs Yankees WS would’ve looked like?

he was using PEDs and eventually got suspended. He got caught... or maybe I'm thinking of the next year when the Phillies and Dodgers played in the NLCS again. I can't remember..
