This was the team that made love gymnastics. It was my first olympics I actually remember taking it seriously and the gymnastics were shown live on NBC because of Beijing’s time difference. So nothing was pre recorded. 2008 will definitely be my favorite olympics because of this team and Michael Phelps!

Loved this! There really was something amazing about these women, their routines, their hearts and their bond that made them so special. I randomly bumped into Sam at the Indy airport right after the 2012 Olympics and acted like a star struck idiot. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ My friend (who doesn’t follow gymnastics) saw me getting more and more awkward and kindly ended the conversation to save Sam. Bless my heart. Sam was so sweet, though! Much nicer than I would have been to some crazy lady talking to me, about me. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I LOVED this! I was just 8 when the 2008 Olympics happened but I loved watching gymnastics and I have such good memories of watching you all compete on TV. But this was even better than that-getting to know all your personalities is so much fun and I can tell that even if you don’t talk very much, you all have such a deep friendship and were really happy to connect again! Also this might be weird but when I watched 2008 Olympics, watching your styles of gymnastics sort of made me wonder about what kind of people you were. I wondered whether Alicia was more serious and direct from watching her powerful handspring vault (which I always loved because it’s not seen very often) or whether Nastia was as precise and careful as her perfect Onodi implied-stuff like that. Might be weird but I just wanted to share
