Style wise, the Solstice is the most gorgeous 2 seater convertible sports car I have ever seen. At ANY price. Including exotics. The Miata can't even hold a candle to it. I can't believe GM didn't switch it over to Chevy and keep building it. Now I will never be able to buy a new one.

July 2020 -- Buying a 2008 red base Solstice, just like this one. Big, big thanks to the reviewer for this video. Very clear, well organized, no BS. I'm retired now, but would hire this guy in a flash to sell cars, and what a treat. One note -- the driver's seat has a switch at bottom left front that adjusts height, and between that and the manual back and forth it is very, very comfortable. A lovely little car, with a very small trunk that eliminates girlfriends with large purses. Although the lady selling it to me allowed as how she got a 30-pack of Bud Light in it once!

@MangoSmoothie16 In case you were wondering GM's most powerful N/A 4 banger was the 2.3 high output quad 4. made 190hp, and their most powerful turbo 4 banger is the Ecotec LNF 260 horse and 260 torque. that motor went in the gxp version of this car.

At the time, General Motors (GM) used the same steering wheel style for a lot of their cars just with different logos/emblems. A few cars that had the same steering wheel style as the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky included the Chevy Corvette, Pontiac G6, Chevy Cobalt/Pontiac G5, Chevy Malibu, Chevy HHR, and others.

I could carry more gear on my Suzuki GS1100 (a motorcycle). Forget about even going to the supermarket with the top down! Looks like a fun car to drive but thoroughly impractical. As someone said in another review, you might want to hitch a trailer to it if you're going anywhere overnight.

Chipped with a few add ons, you can get 300 hp out of the stock GXP

exactly you can get the gxp with the performance chip at the dealership going from 260 to 290 hp.. ive got the gxp and im making 300 hp ...being super lightweight with 300 hp makes it pretty fast
