This is the weirdest Reno 911 episode I've ever seen.

I guarantee these cork-sniffers LOVE Miatas, which this car stomps in every conceivable way except shifter feel and aftermarket support. Pretentiousness or personal aesthetic preferences are the ONLY reasons not to like the way Solstice GXPs drive.

Bro these are all non issues you've spent almost the entire length of the video complaining about. I've never had an issue looking at the gauge cluster and not being able to see it. Also idk if you knew, but you can adjust the seat height. Yeah, yeah plastic plastic. It comes with the period. Plus it's more weatherproof and as long as you prep the surfaces once in a while, it's very durable and won't crack. It feels rough on the road at times which is largely because it's a very short wheelbase car. Put some coils at a decent ride height, and that problem vanishes. These cars corner really flat even on stock suspension and as long as you're keeping on the throttle in the tight corners, oversteer won't become an issue.

Is this a spoof video or something? This car handles great on the turns and the gauge cluster is very easy to read. The engine temp is available on the display to see. You can't really complain about the plastic interior as it was mid 2000s and started around $20k. $20,000 brand new in 2006 for a car like this was an incredible deal even in its base 2.4L form.

temperature was one of the first things i found.. just toggled the info dash display... same as how you set the trip and miles

THIS IS THE TYPE OF REVIEW YOU GET...WHEN YOU GIVE 2 " liberal snowflake turd blossoms"...a classic car to drive. The solstice gxp can, and does drive circles around 90% of most cars 0 - 60 mph in 5.3 seconds top speed of 146 mph can corner like go kart PLEASE GET AN ADULT TO DO THE REVIEW ON THIS CAR !

Just bought mine a month ago and I absolutely love it.. are their small annoyances? Ya but the trade off is amazing ..the looks you get in this car is crazy EVERY ONE turns and looks.. it's a beautiful car

I’m as liberal as it gets and LOVE Solstices. Believe it or not, political affiliation doesn’t dictate hobbies. I have a couple nice cars, a bunch of guns, all manner of things you folks assume we hate, I just vote the way that benefits non-billionaires. Not everything is a political issue, in fact, VERY few things are.

Lol love the comments - everyone ripping on these guys for not knowing where the temp gauge is. I think they made some valid points and it did seem a little biased but they spoke their truths. It could also come down to the individual car they had to review - perhaps tires were not great, old suspension, etc.
@JohnCollins-mm5dq2 жыл бұрын
What are you guys talking about?? Lol like everything you've said has pretty much been BS.. oh and it does have a temp gauge, it's in the digital display you have to scroll to it and it tells you the temp of the motor in number form.. you guys are just a bunch of haters pissing on this car for no reason.. the ecotec engine is an amazing motor and highly modifiable.. I have over 300hp and the guy i bought mine from has another one that has over 400. Didnt have to change the trans or anything.. you can squeeze out alot of HP out that 2.0L 4cylinder turbo.. is the interior quality amazing, no but I didnt buy one for that reason I bought it because theres literally none on the roads.. every one looks at this car at a red light.. so while you're casually crapping on it you're failing to see what an amazing car it really is.. and had GM not pulled the plug on Pontiac and Saturn I can only imagine what they would have been today

I always wanted one, then i saw one for sale at the dealer by my house, so i did a test drive and i was extremely disappointed, the car feels stiff, like driving a log down a river lol, you can feel every bump on the road and the inside felt tiny (Im a bigger guy), i still love the look of the car, but its just not for me.
@AdultsAreTalking2 жыл бұрын
Wasn't much of a review, more a biased unforgiving showcase of everything you don't like about the car. Which ironically doesn't seem to align with anyone else's experiences or opinions too much.

These guys have no idea what they were driving. Push it har in the curves and it really shines. I always laugh when people refer to these as a GM Miata. It handles as well but has 100 extra HP.
