Good morning guy’s👋 Let’s see what this 2008 SCANIA R420 with over 1-Million Kilometers under it’s belt is like on the road. I also check out a fleet of heavy haulage Scania’s in the UK too... Thanks for watching 👍 Instagram: stavros969_

What's the big deal on a commercial vehicle running 1 million km? KM? Not even miles?

this is definately the route you took with the 2017 S500 Scania. this is immaculate and great

Well, I agree my Dad used to have a Volvo WIA64T (American Volvo), powered by a Cummins N14 engine and Super 10 speed manual transmition. That truck was very reliable.

Back in 2013 I drove a bog standard R420 manual, I’m not really a big Scania fan but it was a good little truck and I warmed to it just thankful I didn’t have one of the others with the god aweful 3 pedal Opticruise. Got made redundant then got an 06 plate CF 430 and what a superb little motor that was. Pulled like an Ox the extra 900cc over the Scania and the 16 speed ZF makes all the difference

Great insights.Am amazed how these trucks carry so little tonnage in the UK as opposed to what we carry here in Africa. Similar ex UK (mostly 6 yr old) 6 by 2 R420's here gross 50 tonnes tractor + trailer.. And they pull like everything is made of cotton!! Nice videos,keep them coming

Great to see that you're clutch foot still operating nicely with the new trucks having automatic boxes,, what we're learning is if you're a good driver and look after your truck it fairs better,, 👍👍🚚🚚🚚☘️☘️

the r420 in your video is similar to r420 in indonesia(which imported by indonesian company in 2nd hand condition from uk in 2012).the difference between both of them are the production year,emissions and type of exhaust

I drove ready mix trucks in California as well as tractor trailers. Manual transmission Peterbilt I thought was the coolest thing, it took me a few years to get into European trucks but they sure grew on me. Especially mobilkran from Liebherr. Automatic trucks in the US are still very slow to get here, we are still Fred Flintstone shifting gears!

Hi from New Zealand. Seeing 6X2 tractor units are quite rare here. 90% are 6X4s. Interesting how heavy the vehicle combinations in Ireland are compared to here. 6X4 with 3axle semi only 39tonne.

A million miles is nothing now, there’s plenty of 4 series with 2 mill on the clock! You need to find a haulier that runs there trucks 24/5.... My old man runs day and night shifts for BCA and his truck can be clocking 5/6k a week... at that rate it only takes 4 years to clock a mil. With the way Irish trucks thunder down the roads I’d of thought most of them would clock 4K a week single shifted!!!!
@adi3265 жыл бұрын
so clutch on demand is that like clutch on previous automatics with clutches where you must put your foot on the clutch pedal to drive of or no? Cause i drove chip tuned SCANIA R500(tuned to 620 thats what the guy told me) that had clutch pedal
