What an athlete, what a competitor, 100% on every play. The only thing that changed over the years was sometimes Heinz got up from plays with a blank and vacant look on his face and in his eyes. He took too many concussions over the years but he would never acknowledge them until he was forced by coaches to sit on the bench.

This is an era of football I miss greatly. I grew up on it. One thing I don’t miss however, and that’s the injuries! Some of those brutal hits, while fun to watch, make me sad to think about how life-changing they can be for such great athletes. Some things about the modern NFL might suck, but improved player safety is not one.

I always thought the main reason nfl players get paid millions is because of how violent the game is and with risk of injury on every single down 🤷🏻♂️.. it deserves a big pay day. Yes the branding and apparel side of things make a ton of money. But sports can be violent. Football and hockey both have that high injury rate. I guess nba and mlb players make a good bit too so no idea. But if I was making millions of dollars I’d accept the risk as part of the job as much as it would suck to have a major life altering injury 😭

2020 was a cakewalk year compared to NYC 2001-02. In 01-02 in this town, everyone stayed home for no reason; expecting a nuke terror attack or something. The Feds DID play up the fear a lot, stationing Military at all the big intersections and subway stations in NYC. We don't get over things as a healthy society; Japan and Germany had 9/11 times 1000 on all their cities, EVERY city got burned down almost a million burned alive each. They don't fume around "NEVER FORGET" the anniversaries would fill their entire calendar with horror. They just rebuild and move on. USA is a society that craves being sad and mad. Why is Pearl Harbor day known, commemorated by everyone but not V-E and V-J day? Victory isnt celebrated, May 1st should be Dead Bin Laden Day. Instead his biggest fans can gloat every 9/11 as we remind ourselves they scored on us; ONCE. Russia is unhealthy too; Its nationalism is basically A WW2 Death Cult.
@CapoKies2 жыл бұрын
@@WalterWhiteFootballSharing V-Day is definitely celebrated. Russia is unhealthy because it was a communist hellhole that killed over 50 million of its own people in the 20th century. The U.S. is anything but nationalist. It's socialist to the core and only going to get worst. Rather than government that works for the people, our government works against them and hates them. @@Thomas-wx4ti If there are penalties on both teams on the same play, they should both be enforced. The net loss or gain will be determined by the degree of penalty for each. Steelers got a break in 08 didn't they? We all know who suffered a season ending injury in week one of 2008. Thank you very much and God bless you all!!!! Haha Woooooo!!!!

Tom Brady would be no match for the 2008 Steelers defense.

More like the NFL gave NE a break for all that cheating. In 2008 Steelers beat the piss out of NE..like 33-13. I don’t think Brady makes up 20 although the game is probably closer.

I wish kickers were removed from the game. Icing the kicker is cheesy but kicking is cheesy leave that shit for soccer..

This game was right after Eagles destroyed the Steelers and KOing Big Ben to what like 9 sacks in that game. That was a sorry sorry game for the Steelers, Philly rules the Pennsylvania rivalry.

If you are on the one up by 4 with nine minutes left in the game why the hell would you kick a field goal? That's Tomlin coaching at it's finest, playing not to lose.

@inconstantmoon I know but they were up by 4 if they don't get in they leave Baltimore on their own goaline. There was still 9 minutes left they could have basically ended the game with a TD
