Awesome timing! The 10 cars of the GO train passed in about 6.3 seconds, meaning it was going 148 km/h - almost top speed. And the VIA was flying too!

via is basically an express railway meant for travel between major cities, pretty much all the trains are express (they operate on separate tracks and always at high speed). the go train here skipped the station so it was also an express of some sort, there are a few types of them.

GO Train and VIA both, driver do not press horn to alert people. Life has no value for the train operators. Compare yourself with Amtrak, drivers press horn to alert people. I go each month to Niagara Falls taking GO train. 7 PM at Niagara falls, you can view what GO thinks of humans specially small children.
