Mine just went bad in my 2010 Corolla, so THANK YOU for doing this video!

Video is a bit shaky but OMGSH I am doing this. Had my 09 Corolla for 11 years and 272k miles, long overdue. Thank you!

Very clear video, you think you can do the same with the light stalk . Like that you could have auto headlights enabled for cars with the light sensor? thnx

I bought a replacement wiper switch assembly from surplus store and replaced my wiper switch with this video. Unfortunately, my intermittent still doesnt work. Im thinking that it could be I got a busted intermittent switch or the issue in another part. I have the toyota vios, btw.

How do you unfasten the housing? Your hand is in the way, I can't see which way you moved the screwdriver.

Thanks man unfortunately to remove the other switch is a pain in the butt. The wiper is easy

I'm working on changing the switch for my 2013 Toyota Prius. Do you now if it's basically the same procedure? I can't seem to find a tutorial for that car model

Same procedure yes

Mine works still the sick just broke in half... you think epoxy would bond this back together?

Great Video first of all. I did the switch replacment, and my 25 Amp fuse keeps blowing when I push up on the switch for the manual wiper override. If that makes sense:):) I can hear it pop about every second time I do it...push up to manual wipe my windshield.
@fancychancie_6 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard of anyone having issues like that. If I was in your situation, I would remove and reinstall the new switch, test it. If the same issue occurs, reinstall the old switch, test it. If the fuse no longer blows, it much be an issue with the new switch.

Thanks for this. It absolutely baffles me that my Corolla doesn't have intermittent wipers... "Special Edition" my ass- no trunk light, no intermittent wipers. What the hell, Toyota? Weight Reduction?? lol
@fancychancie_7 жыл бұрын
I totally agree! I have the S version, which was the most expensive model. Imagine the extra money that was spend on designing, injection molding and manufacturing of the wiper switch without the intermittent functionality when the car is wired for it anyway! Seems like a vastly ill use of R&D time and money to me.

How many speeds have the wiper control? In my 2010 Corolla only works the first 2.
@rodneybooth40692 жыл бұрын
You did not show taking the two white wire plugs off, I cannot get them off. Do they have a clip holding them?
@JamesBond-sr7fw Жыл бұрын
You have to push down on them, on the little tabs

Hey my wipers work but won't go back in place. They just stop mid way or like a 3 inch from where they need to be. It's this because that part or another issue.

Would this work with a Corolla 03?

The parts houses say the intermittent wiper only works for cars made in Japan. Will the Japanese part work for a US or Canada made Corolla? Mine is a 2010. Thanks
@fancychancie_4 жыл бұрын
I can’t speak for all of them, but my 2011 Corolla was made in North America and it worked.

Chris Cantu the part # is 84652-02610. I got mine from a wrecked Tacoma from eBay for about $40.

I'm having a problem. I can't get through the first part. I can't get my steering column off. I did exactly as you said. Please help me. I'll wait patiently for your response. Thank you
@notcharles Жыл бұрын
"I can't get my steering column off. " Huh!? You don't take the steering column off! Start at :21 key in, unlock, turn wheel ALL THE WAY RIGHT to expose screw on left. Then ALL THE WAY LEFT to expose screw on right. 'pop' clips along right and left side holding upper and lower plastic sections; remove lower section; remove upper section; remove electrical connections; depress clip; pull switch; install new switch; install electrical connectors; replace lower plastic; replace upper plastic; click them together at seams; turn wheel replace screw;turn wheel; replace screw. You're screwed, now test it out. (better yet, test it before replacing the plastic covers - in case you got a bad switch, right?

Hi! May I ask what’s the code of the said part because I bought one but it won’t fit because it has different connector. Appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Hey! great job! I did it today with my Corolla. I have a question, I´m looking to charge the audio switch (part # 84250-02110) to the one that you have in your Corolla. Did you change it? thanks
@brontiannathompkins72906 жыл бұрын
Would I be doing the same procedure for the combination turn signal switch?
@fancychancie_6 жыл бұрын
Brontianna Thompkins, yes I believe so. Labor time for the turn signal switch is only 0.4 hrs labor, so I can’t imaging it’d be much more entailed than the wiper switch (which is 0.7 hrs labor). Although, sometimes the labor guides are very incorrect.
