Thanks man, I’m attempting this on my Audi A4 2009 tomorrow, very nervous but the video was clear and instructions were great!

For a first time video I think you did an amazing job! Much better than other channels that have 1000's of videos. I'm doing my nephews A5 this afternoon, great video!

Great video, many thanks. Have to do mine soon, 2015 A5. Crazy low kilometers for a 2014.

Did you do it? Any tips? I have the same car
@michaeljones1491 Жыл бұрын
@@danieltene2048 Did the front and rear brakes over the past two weekends. Tough but manageable (had never done them before). Everything is pretty much the same as the video, and is straight forward enough. If you don't have an impact driver, make sure you have a breaker bar for the caliper retainer bolts, they broke my heart for a good hour. The brake pad that sits into the piston of the caliper is also tricky, use a vice grips to pull in the steel shoulders if you cant push it straight into it. Bear in mind you have anti squeal paste on the pads at this point and holding them/pushing into place is made more difficult by you not touching the squeal paste. Good idea to have a box of plastic gloves/nitrile gloves so when you're applying the copper paste/anti squeal you can just put a glove over your work gloves and then just peel it off. Open the brake fluid reservoir and place napkins all around it. I recently had a brake fluid change so was topped up, when you're pushing the piston back it'll drive some fluid out of the reservoir (unless you remove some first which I didn't do). I did have a second person helping me for most of it, especially the re-assembly. Don't hold back on the copper grease, you'll thank yourself in the future, one of my wheels was welded to the disk, took some serious kicking to get it off. Done with small trolley jack, jack stands and basic tools. Had 8-60 Nm and 20-210Nm torque wrenches, definitely torque everything back right if you can. Just send another comment if you're unsure of anything 👍

Is there a bleeding process by any chance and the A5
@diwopp15 ай бұрын
@@me-pv4fn there is no bleeding process needed as you aren’t opening any brake bleeders or brake lines. Just compress the calipers in and replace the pads 🙂

No brake pad sensor?
@diwopp15 ай бұрын
@@robertstephenson5178 there is one on the driver side I didn’t get a chance to record it. Very easy to replace just unplug it from the harness and unplug it from the back of the brake pad

Amazing what if we aren’t changing the fucking disc brakes how do you take the caliber off without damaging? Thank you for not telling us.
