Well done as always Deo, you have turned me into an auto tech. I should start paying royalty to you. How are you getting on with the people at your new place, hope they are not showing you attitudes? Try and intensify efforts to get your own place. Wish you all the best bro!

Great video I was unaware where the transmission dipstick was I have a 2012 F150 4x4 @1675 and has yet to be serviced no leaks from the pan pretty dry typically what would be the cost to drain and refill? Thanks in advance for your response.

The oil drain plug and the oil filter should always be removed together. Doing so will release any vacuum that could be holding old oil in the upper part of the engine.Try this: remove drain plug and let engine oil completely drain. Without putting the drain plug back in, remove the oil filter and observe additional oil draining, that was still in the engine, due to the vacuum that the filter creates. Tip: Always keep your dipstick pointing down when checking your levels. If you turn the tip up as you remove it to check level, it will (most likely) give you a false reading.

As he stated there is no transmission fluid drain plug!
@diahrongrismore10544 ай бұрын
@@gregatkinson4542 there basically no drain plugs on auto transmission pans. I recall back in the '70's a few TH-300, 350 and few others, but eventually they replace them. People were pulling the plug and never removing the internal filter, which was the biggest issue, culprit to trans problems.

Just wondering if when checking the transmission fluid level that the engine should be running.

Great job as always's. I thought one should check the transmission level while the car running? Thank you, and God bless!
