Transformers music at the beginning. And, F-15 Eagle FTW. Best fighter jet ever.

I agree, no one has taken down an F-15, BUT remember the F-15 is a 40 yr old airframe and there are fighters out there that can take it down, like the Typhoon and most definitely, Sukhoi's Su-27 series. The new V3 AESA definitely brings the Eagle's capabilities above the competition, but what the F-15C Eagle sorely needs are the P&W -229 engines from the Strike Eagle. The -229 produces a combined thrust of 58,000 lbs - over 10,000 more than the -220 the C model uses! Now it's up to the USAF!

God I love that damn jet! Still amazing, still kickin' ass after almost 40 year's. The -22's got some big shoes to fill.

something happen with the right engine on the knife edge or did he not have the right side throttle pushed up all the way?

With the idea of stealth there is no need for large numbers of them. They just need to be strategically placed around the globe and backed up by F-15s and F-16s.

F-15 vs F-22 = quantity over quality

I think the point is...The US doesn't even see a need to build more F-22's because other countries still can't take down F-15's

@ThfWrc its because of the cost besides in 10 years F-15s go kaput

yeah. why do we need more F-22s (they're cool as shit and I keep going to see them) when no one can shoot down (perhaps) the world's most formidable jet fighter? The Eagle is my favorite plane and it'll be a sad day (albeit in twenty or so years) when they retire it to the boneyard at Davis-Monthan AFB. Love those turkey exhaust nozzles and the brute power and acceleration.
