Sorry for late reply. There is plastic push-in tab that you need to pull down. If it breaks you can glue it back in.

Thank you for posting this, very helpful. I am about to tackle this job and have a couple of questions. When you open the sunroof to reveal the 6 screws holding the shade cover, does it fall down on the inside? How do you remove the rear shade cover?

That's good! Man it's been a minute but I believe it won't fall down. As for the rear one you'll see on the sides small plastic sliders for it. You just need to pull it out.

So once I remove the screws from the top, do I just pull the shade from the top after removing the brackets, or remove from the inside of the car? Thanks again!

Front one is easy but the rear one doesn't have screws only sliders on sides. If I remember correctly you'll have to slide it back and then pull those plastic sliders out. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. I don't know the right term for it.

I mean how do I remove the front shade once the screws are out? Do I pull it from the top? Do the brackets where the screws go need to be removed? Or do I pull it down from the inside?
