@@prettyboiikicks3755 I have an '07 towncar and a '06 DTS. It's really hard to say, but the towncar does have a slightly better "cloud" feeling when driving and steering. The DTS has a more comfortable interior. They're definitely on the same level though.

if the Town Car has air ride suspension it would be superior, for sure. Some Town cars came factory with rear springs. The HID lights on the town car can't be beat on high beam. It's an experience. You see the separation and the clarity is full audience.

How can you possibly be into Cadillacs and not like vinyl roofs? I'll give you that the DTS, being barely a Cadillac to begin with as far as I'm concerned, doesn't mesh that well with the vintage look...but it definitely wears it better than its phony contemporary Cads. I drove a 2006 for a while, and it was definitely a step down from even the 2000 DeVille. Which, by the way, wears a vinyl roof a billion times better and still has Cadillac feel to the interior.

Bill the XTS was nothing like the DTS. It was hideous IMO with the turtle like profile of every other modern sedan. The DTS actually had the profile of a car with a long hood and at least a hint of a trunk. The wheels are not pushed to the outer most ends of the car and it is not as tall as it is long. I think Cadillac discontinued the XTS after about 3-4 years it was such an embarrassment in my mind it was just as bad as the down-sized DeVille in 1985 but they were far more popular for some reason.
@travelseatsyellowlab2 жыл бұрын

These cars were redesigned during a recession and a period when GM was downsizing, hence the cost cutting elements you see. Pontiac, SAAB, Saturn, Hummer were slashed from production at this time, and Buick made the cut by the skin of its teeth. Also, the demographic who bought these cars were mainly concerned with comfort, style, performance to a degree and overall quality.
@WSNO2 жыл бұрын
The only body that belongs in that trunk is whoever made this thing instead of the 2000 DeVille, and took the touring sedan name and slapped it on this without considering what the alphabet soup stood for. Wtf even an XTS? Xabloomafoo Touring Sedan? I had one of these, a 2006, for a while and I hated it. It ran FINE, but the seat shape sucked, the controls sucked, the seat feel sucked...it felt like a poor attempt at trying to turn a 2000 Volvo S80 into a Cadillac. And even if that WAS the goal, I could tell you a million things to make it better and still meet that goal. I liked my 2000 DeVill so much better. If i had a choice between another DTS and a 2000 DeVille, both spec'd exactly perfect including aftermarket coachbuilder stuff, I'd always take the 2000 DeVille. One thing I REALLY liked though was the air conditioned seats. Made the seats look like fucking football jerseys, but dang was it comfy. Over all, better than literally anything from the 2010s or thus far of the 2020s. On the electric scam path, this will always be superior. With the way I need my car to be, if i were forced to daily drive a 2006-2011 DTS, I would be forced to wig out, move to Baltimore, and become a serial killer. 8/10
