I laughed a little when you said you lose it in parking lots, then I realized we haven't all fallen victim of the car addiction. I forget how quiet mine was when I got it. Now she purrs nicely, and will be getting more love quite soon. Got the 08 V6 6MT btw

Very nice buddy, you only missed showing us the trunk size and tools storage. I have a 2001Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe, and its sweet. Just passed 80,000 miles yesterday. Your engine was so quiet, didnt realize to started the car until you revved the enging. Very cool.

Thanks so much! It's definitely been a great purchase so far. I will recommend the 4 cylinder if you don't need all the power, because gas mileage suffers on the V6. However I do love the power :)

Hey! I loved the video! I just purchased the same car in black. I wish that I was able to find one in stick shift. But, for the price I paid, NOT BAD! I live in MA near the NH border. Wish you popped the hood! No big deal...

thanks for video, i love this car. How do you like it so far and how is the gas mileage? I am planning to get a 2012 accord v6 6 speed hfp or 2014 accord
@ACCORDingtoTom12 жыл бұрын
I'm averaging around 21 miles per gallon, but I'm sure if you drove more conservatively, you could get that number into the high 20's. It costs about $50 to fill up where I live, and gas is $3.30 a gallon for 87 grade, which it runs well on!

this car is really quiet doesnt even make noise we test drove one but the price was way to hug cnt afford it

My car is just a rocketship, and it returns respectable fuel economy (now that I drive more conservatively). It handles very well for a FWD car, too! I enjoyed driving my little Cobalt quickly because it felt as light as a go-kart, but that proved to be too demanding for it.... I just wish my car had a manual/sport mode. The 5AT is stupid sometimes, but overall works very well with the engine.

Do you still have this car? I’m thinking about getting a 4-cylinder EXL coupe with 32 thousand miles from carmax!!
@ACCORDingtoTom12 жыл бұрын
If you really need a backseat, like people are getting in or out all the time, I would definitely go with the sedans over the coupes. My Accord has a great amount of room in the back, it's more than most coupes! However, getting back there is difficult as you have to mess with the seat. I do carry people in my backseat occasionally, and no one has ever complained (except when there are 3 across). Good luck with the shopping :) I prefer the Accord over the Altima, I think it's of a higher quailty
@ACCORDingtoTom11 жыл бұрын
I have no regrets regarding my purchasing my car. However, if you get a V6 and drive in the city a lot like I do, the MPG isn't great.
@ACCORDingtoTom12 жыл бұрын
The only difference is that Bluetooth became standard on 2010 V6 models. The Accord was refreshed for 2011, so that's where the changes occurred.

I haven't compared the Eclipse and Accord, however I feel that the Accord is a much more refined car. I drive only in the city, and I get 18 miles per gallon. And the four cylinder has 190 horsepower, which is perfectly adequate. Mine has 271 and it's crazy fast! I think the 4 cylinder would be a better choice for you if you don't crave the extra power. Test drive both engines and see, though!

Compared to our BMW and Volvo, the road noise is slightly more pronounced. However, those are luxury cars and therefore they are exceptionally quiet. The road noise has never bothered me in the Accord, though. However, if you are switching from a Camry, it may be an annoyance. Test drive it for yourself and you'll know for sure!

Hey, I know it's been a while since you posted this but how was the handling and driving experience when you owned it compared to other cars?
@ACCORDingtoTom3 жыл бұрын
The steering had very nice weight and feedback, and it handled well for its size. It did understeer a bit under quicker cornering because of the large engine over the front wheels, but overall it was a very competent handling car. I do miss the V6 sounds and power too!

Yeah, i deffently prefer the Accord over the Altima because the interior looks more spacious..Yeah thats what i tought about getting out the people, because i used to have a Mitsubishi Eclipse 2003, and man! The backseats were horrible! Have you ever compared the Eclipse with the Accord? And what can you tell me about the MPG? Thats another thing, i dont like to drive like very fast so i dont if the V6 will be a problem and im a little concern about V4, i think is a little small for the Accord??
@ACCORDingtoTom12 жыл бұрын
Good choice! It's gorgeous. Before my Accord, I had an 2009 Cobalt coupe. Rear-wheel drive isn't really an option for me up here in New England, so I had to stick with front-wheel drive. And is the 2.5 V6 enough for you? I find my mom's 328xi sluggish compared to my V6 Accord. The Accord handles well, however this is where the BMW has it beat.
@ACCORDingtoTom11 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was. That might have been a little unclear. I have no regrets accepting it over my previous car, I guess that's what I was trying to say.

Hey man, it's been a while since posting this. Looking at a used 09' Accord with about 98k miles. 1 owner and just about the same specs, with the addition of a nav system and the awesome sound system these vehicles have (model pending at least). Any weird issues with the car I should know about before going out and purchasing one of these? It can be maintenance, electronics, etc...
@ACCORDingtoTom8 жыл бұрын
+IntrepidGaming Hey! Definitely make sure that the interior is in good shape. Some of these Accords have worn really quickly... luckily mine hasn't. Also, check for any oil consumption issues with the engine too. I don't mean to scare you away, these are just some of the common problems of these generation Accords. I luckily have not had any of them yet!
@Echo19Audio8 жыл бұрын
+ACCORDingtoTom Thanks for the reply! Yeah the interior is practically brand new. It looks and feels nice. The guy said he used it for sales back and forth. When I test drove it, the transmission seemed a little jerky at times, may just need a flush. The rear driver tire will need a speed balance too. I'll look into oil consumption, as you just confirmed some of the other articles I've read about keeping this type of car up. I'm a GM buyer and it takes a lot to impress me with foreign vehicle manufacturers like Honda or Toyota. This car has really impressed me so far. Did you replace your tires from the Continentals yet?
@ACCORDingtoTom8 жыл бұрын
Honda transmissions tend to get jerkier over time. I have about 76K on the car now. Honda just recommends that the fluid is changed every 30K, so make sure you do that if it hasn't been changed within that window. The Continentals haven't been replaced yet as I am currently running Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires. I think I'll replace them with Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's in the summer.
@Echo19Audio8 жыл бұрын
+ACCORDingtoTom - Alright. Thanks for the info! How much did the snow tires run you?
@ACCORDingtoTom8 жыл бұрын
I bought a 16" rim and tire package from Tire Rack and it was about $900 for the package. It definitely was worth it (and downsizing from 18's) because I deal with a lot of snow in the Northeast US.

ACCRD spacious comped to altima coupe, Accord quality, fit, finish and materials are clearly better. Honda makes the best most reliable engines. my 2012 Accord achived 27 mpg in a mix of hyway and city, I expect to get atleat 30 on long trips, around town only I got 23. Lets face it, depends on how much U can resist playing with the power. I don't have to be th first person of the line every time. waited 3 months to deside against altima, it was a clear choise. Altima not quite in same class.
