I gave Scrap Daddy a thumbs up as soon as I saw him wearing gloves!! I'm with you on that. Sometimes the biggest challenge on these sensors is getting the connectors apart without damaging them.

I think my mom's car will need this, as the MPG has declined. The plugs are good, the dust boots are good, the intake has been cleaned, and the MAF has been cleaned. Thanks for showing me where this stuff is.

Hi. Many say the o2 sensor upstream is the one with a cup in the manifold... But you are right its under the car and before the catalyst converter. But it the rear one, (after the catalyst) is it the same sensor, because its not clear? Thanks

It is a different part number NOT interchangeable. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven’t already.

Before going to the parts cannon, I would verify for electrical connectors for good continuity, any other error codes such as misfires.

Is the bank 1 oxygen sensor the same as upstream sensor and should I change the other sensor(downstream)at the same time? How was the cost of sensor? Thanks.
@scrapdaddysgarage50279 ай бұрын
Bank 1 sensor 1 is upstream. Bank 1 sensor 2 is downstream. I only change the bad one. I prefer Denso senders , they cost around $120 dollars. Thanks for watching

very nice video looks very easy DIY... my code is P0140 do you think its bad O2 sensor or it could be some thing else ?
@scrapdaddysgarage50274 жыл бұрын
With a po140 code I would look for damaged wiring or poor connections at the plug before replacing the sensor

Just curious did you had to remove any shield covering up the O2 sensor? If so what was the size of the bolt or nut. Just asking because i dont have the car its at my fiancee home and i might have to do this repair at her drive way... Plz let me know what else ill need besides 7/8 wrench

@scrapdaddysgarage5027 Жыл бұрын
Check the codes again and use the scan tool to turn off the light. If you get the same codes you probably have a wiring issue, the plug or the wiring may be damaged internally, and unfortunately this is difficult to trace. I wish you the best.
@malibuman89418 ай бұрын
possible wiring issue or corroded Molex connectors. try cleaning them.

Do you need to have that code scanning device to erase the code?
@scrapdaddysgarage50273 жыл бұрын
You can disconnect the battery of the car to erase the code, but the radio memory will need to be reset and some Honda’s need a security code to do that. It is best to do it with a scan tool. Thanks for watching
