Came here from under the Hood Mechanic... I have the 2008 V6 so, I envy you being able to get it out the way you did! I can understand not doing the replacement... saved me some time. ;-) I'm sure it was easier than taking it out either way... thanks for doing this... I'm sure it will help people... Wish I knew why 6,666 views couldn't give this a like... I did. ;-)

How did you press on the cable casing off for the connection. I'm having a hard time

It's been a while since I did this, but if you mean the electrical connector going into the white/grey connector box, I believe there is a small tab underneath the connector that you can slide a small flathead screwdriver into to loosen. You can see this pretty well at about 25:21. If you mean the green rubber boot thing I think you just grab it and give it a firm wiggle back and forth a few times and it will generally pull right off. If not, a spray of WD-40 might help.
