2009 Mitsubishi lancer GTS rear lower engine mount

This is just a quick write up of a lower rear engine mount removal and install for a 2009 Mitsubishi lancer GTS

Thank you very much for sharing! I've got the 2010 model, and you don't have to losen the housing of the mount, it just slip to rear of the car, Not to front as you tried. also if you put a jack under the transmission the bolt get's back in easly.

No, sadly, I don’t. It was a long time ago. It should be the same across all the Lancer platforms.

Really helpful video. Thank you. I also have an 09 lancer and I'm experiencing a rough idle during a complete stop. Was wondering if that is what you experienced as well? Second sign, I am getting a tapping noise from my front end when i'm driving slow and going over pot holes or bumps. Are these symptoms similar to what you experienced?

The tapping on your front could probably be your front struts but there’s many different parts upfront that you might want to change while you’re there like I did in the previous video but yeah that rough idle especially when you come to a stop that’s exactly what this is

Do you know what size those bolts are that bolt the mount on? For some reason mine don't have bolts it just has like a weld on the back 🤔

I’m thinking that’s what my car needs since my cars engine shakes with rough idle, but I have a question for you. When you came to a complete stop like at a light or anywhere did your car make like a clunk sound? not from the brakes though.

Yeah that centre Bolt is an asshole to loosen.
