+Scott Disher lol, def the cam was worth every penny. If your in Texas there are plenty of good and affordable shops to do a cam swap( 747 Garage did mine) . You can never get enough of the sound of a cammed G8.

Sounds awesome dude, so you have long tubes to xpipe? Or xpipe to magnaflow mufflers? Mine has just kooks mids to magnaflow mid muffler to solos..not loud at all to me. I want to hear my cam more like yours.

well money wise, car with bolt-ons..so i figure about 3-4k with labor? cam, stall and tune with labor is about $3200..thats with a shop doing the work. estimate wheel hp is about 420

Did you have a wheel spacer for your rear wheels I found a set of these in matte black the rears are 9.5 with a plus 25mm offset and I really want these wheels but I don't think they would fit

I like the G8. it has about 50 less horse the the GTO and gets about 5 mpg less. But other then that it's a great car more trunk space no gas tank taking up half the space. And the interior seem to be of a better quality the then the Goat. my only question about my car I keep hear about issues with the lifters and the dod having been deleted with a cam up grade. Bottom line thought for a car as big and heavy as it is it will scoot with some mild mods.

I had my Ls2 GTO Cammed and headers in March.....130,000 Miles on the car......135,000 now. I got the car when it had 107,000 on it.....nothing wrong with going Cam on LS motor with 90,000 miles. Its an LS Motor, lol not a nissan......lol, but Id look into getting the regular maintenance out the way first of course, like a starter, power steering pump, rack and pinion, shocks and breaks. Theres nothing like dumping money into a car, only for regular maintenance to get in the way that you don't have the money for afterwards lol.

Mfearless Mines getting there, slowly. Is your trim OEM or did they black it out? I hate the chrome trim on my windows. A friend got me black door handles for the interior. What kind of wheels do you have? Specks on your car? I have some springs but I need to replace the struts and bushings. It'll be a while though. Moving so no car money.
