This is the one I'm gonna get next! Right now I've got a Kawi BF 650 without the independent rear and it's a beast. But I want one of these Suzukis really bad! I'm glad they finally put EPS on these machines.

PART 3: One thing imoproved on the Brute for '12 but not totally fixed is the inferior CVT. It's inferior because unlike Suzuki/Yamaha/AC, it has no seperate wet clutch with one-way sprag clutch for natural engine braking. The BF CVT clutches by seperating the drive pulley from the belt. This increases wear as it engages/disangages. It also requires a more complicated KEBC stepper motor to give engine braking. Even on the more powerful/heavier Teryx 4, they went to a seperate wet clutch.

I bought one of these quads in camouflage , got a REALY good steal on it $7000 out the door - the best ATV I've ever bought

@MrJackle7 PART2 2: With the lack of a separate wet clutch, the BF has to separate the main pulley from the belt to act as a clutch. Even the much improved '12 BF750 (that I might would actually buy) still has this design. This design inherently has more belt wear and requires adjustments. There's no way around it. In contrast, the Grizzly/KQ with the separate wet clutch maintains constant pulley contact with the belt and has less wear.

+rednecklowlife Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your machine. Power steering makes a great addition to the King Quad. Suzuki did some minor updates to the latest model. We suspect that we will be doing another evaluation of the machine in the coming months. Enjoy your new machine and thanks for watching. .

I love my kind 09 400 4x4. she is a beast!! im the one pulling other brands of wheelers out of the mud. my cuz has 2 600's and I had to pull him out a few times. suzuki makes a great wheeler. great power and easy to ride. mud or sand. hill climb or not. I would def buy another one. the fit is awesome.

Even if it's 2009, it hasn't changed very much. For sure it's a good atv, but how does it compare with the new grizzly?

@MrJackle7 PART 5: If the BF750 is so much better than the Grizzly, then why has Yamaha not seen the need to change it, while Kawasaki had to make a long list of changes/updates to the '12 BF750? Things like an airbox that allowed easy water/mud entry, weak tie rod ends, overheating problems, etc. were supposedly addressed on the '12 BF750. Despite keeping the old outdated belt design, Kawasaki DID add a better belt and changed the weights/springs. If the old BF750 was better, WHY the changes?

@MrJackle7 There might not be any bad brands, but there are those that have more failures and weaknesses than others. BF750 owners have complained about Kaw not fixing the issues for several years. They did finally fix most of them for '12, but it took way too long. That's how Kaw is. They were last of the 7 major brands to offer EPS. But the Grizzlys have no glaring faults that need fixed, were 1st with EPS, and only the Grizz 700 needs a power update. But power isn't everything.

I have a 2012 Brute Force 750 and have not had a single problem with it. As far as power goes...there is no damn way a king quack can hang with it. BRUTE FORCE FTW!!!

@MrJackle7 Keep in mind that I did give Kawasaki credit for the improments made for '12, and that I did state I might would buy one. I'm waiting on magazine shootouts and for more '12 BF owners to post info on the forums so I can make a decision. BUT, since I would be rock crawling, the Kawasaki's belt design, although improved, might slip/wear too much for slow-speed rock crawling. That does concern me. An ATV with a CVT transmission that has a separate wet clutch doesn't have that problem.

@MrJackle7 PART 4: If the '11 and older BF750 is so much better than the Kingquad and Grizzly, then why are there so many aftermarket fixes for it's flaws? If the Grizzly is so bad, then why does it NOT require as many aftermarket fixes? Look on the forum sites for all the BF750 aftermarket fixes. And some of them, like a 4wd actuator that MUST be put in 4wd before you need it or it won't fully engage have NO aftermarket fix.

PART 4: Kawasaki now uses the seperate wet clutch/one-way sprag clutch on the Teryx 4 for a reason. Because the older design CVT on the Teryx 2 and Brute is inferior, especially as weight/power increases. Polaris on it's RZR900, and Can Am on the Commander 1000 did the same thing. They have a CVT design that clutches like the Brute's design does on every other machine, but now the RZR900/Commander 1000 have the seperate wet clutch like Yamaha/Suzuki/AC. More proof the Brute's CVT is inferior.

I'm not into ATV's very much, rather into anything with an engine. I drove this beast. It's one brutal motherfucker. It went from o to 80Km/h and back to 0 in a very short stretch of road covered with concrete and sand. It's brutal for someone who only drove Linhai's and other Chinese stuff.

@MrJackle7 PART 3: Even Polaris, which has the same belt design as the BF750, is showing signs of abandoning that design. Why do you think the new RZR900 now has a separate wet clutch? WHY wouldn't Polaris KEEP the OLD design on the RZR900 if it was superior to having a separate wet clutch like Suzuki/Yamaha have? Although the BF750 isn't a bad ATV, it is by no means the best (although the jury is still in deliberation on the '12 BF750). If you don't believe me, do the research on the forums.

Some don't. Some do. But the fixes for the '11 and older Brute's problems are on the forum sites for a reason. Let's see: an air intake that gets water in it easier. The day I had the crank bearing sieze in mine, it had water get in, and it wasn't too terribly deep. Water depth that the Grizzly 550 I bought since I made that comment can ford with no problem. Even the Wolverine 450 I've had for 6+ years, with only 23" tires and being closer to the ground, can ford deeper water than the stock BF.

@MrJackle7 Although much improved for '12, the only advantage the '11 and older BF750 had was power. But that doesn't make it better. I had an '07 BF750.There is no way it was better than a KQ750 or Grizzly 700. In fact, I had quite a few problems with my BF750. There's a lot of fixes that can be found on the internet to fix it's weaknesses (2011 and older). Despite taking care of mine, it ended up seizing a crank bearing. Kingquads, and especially Grizzlys, have fewer issues and failures.

And I'm talking about a stock Brute. You're sayin you have to modify a king quack to deal with a stock Brute. If I started to modify my machine yours had better stay in the garage my friend.

a 400 dollars copperhead dvi ecu will turn this atv into a 60hp fire breathing monster. this atv only need the dvi ecu and better tires to be a very amazing performer. it only needs to be awoken. you d'ont need to spend a fortune to make it fast.

That's funny cause my buddy had a king quack 700 that was CONSTANTLY breaking down on him. As far as me being stuck, that's a joke. I'm always pulling my buddies 800 renegade out of the mud. I'm not new to this scene either hoss. All I know is that I have never seen a single slug machine that could compare to the power and torque of a V-twin. Kawasaki must be doing something right since John Deere uses Kawasaki V-twins in some of their tractors and lawn equipment. Good luck with that weak toy.

@EvanRules87 The Grizzly has nothing in common with a racing ATV. WHY would someone that wants/needs a 4wd utility ATV want a racing ATV, which probably has NO reverse, limited ground clearance, has NO 4wd, has NO racks and NO storage? Your comment makes NO SENSE. This video is about a UTILITY, not a racing ATV. The Grizzly 700 DOESN'T "suck". In fact, overall it is slightly better than Suzuki. Even with less power, it is quicker accelerating. And has a better reliability/durability record.

This is a great quad, but the Yamaha Grizzly 700 will still kick the Suzuki's ass. Thumbs up this comment
