I just replaced my shocks on my 2012 Murano. One bolt snapped. No shop was willing to weld a new stud on and I was told to take it to the dealer! $$$$ I found this video and it worked! I removed the rear interior, cut a hole in the wheel well and cut off the broken bolt with my Grinder. New bolt slipped into place. Perfect! It worked! Cost me $2.00 for the bolt and a few days labour picking away! It was so much easier than it looked.

Glad to hear this worked for you. I can't imagine how much the dealer would have charged.....

Going to be doing this probably this weekend with my g35x sedan. Broke one of those bolts putting my coil overs on and now the jobs 10x longer🙄 this helps confirm that what I was going ti do will work

I drilled out the bolts and tapped them from below. You can tread a 1” bolt down from below. There is room for 2 fingers. I used red lock tight, so i hope the new studs never have to come out. A long and painful job but no structural changes to the car.

I get what your saying about structural changes, but that's really splitting hairs..... the main structural piece holding that part of the car together is the piece supported with 16 bolts that I had to remove and replace. The reality is that cutting that sheet metal is a nothing burger. I have to question the engineers at Nissan as many things they did while designing this car make no sense. Changing the following is a real pain in the ass.... cabin filter, alternator, spark plugs, even the oil filter. This is most likely the last Nissan I will buy, maintenance on my RAV4 is a cake walk compared to this. Toyota/Honda all day long.
