The purpose of this channel is to promote the sport of diving in the world! Often times diving is buried in a long swimming video, or streamed events are lengthy and slow.. We reformat it to give the spotlight to diving and cut out the empty, uneventful moments in the stream to make it more appealing to viewers while making sure we maintain the integrity of the competition.

You're right! It was not edited. I took it myself. He won the event against all the seasoned divers 5+ years older than him :). Won Junior World that year beating Qiu Bo. and then went on to compete at the Olympics!

Tamsin Delaney if you hit vertical, you would splash. You have to come in at a slight angle, you aren't supposed to be completely vertical

10s should rarely (if ever) be given out. There is no such thing as a perfect dive. Maybe in a year he will do that dive better.

Yes, you are right, maybe we could say that this dive was perfect in that event, against the other divers, and at the age Tom was at that time... I'm sure all his dives look even more clean now :). I've actually seen High School meets where they were giving 10s and the dives would have scored 7 internationally... I'll post that video sometimes soon!

It did! When divers start swimming at the right moment, meaning they unlock their hands and open their arms, the water gets sucked in. I swear it is a real video. I posted it in 2009. There was no editing videos way back when :)
