I just did this task today and really struggled breaking the 14 mm bolt free. Needed a cheater bar that I didn't have while doing this on the road. The gray cap also beat me as I couldn't get it off the alternator cable. I ended up breaking it while prying. But once I got the 14 free, I think one handed would have worked. Great job!!!!!!

Thanks man! My battery light popped on in northern Michigan on Sunday afternoon. We made it to Gaylord and hit Auto Zone. Used their tools and your video. Hi master, after watching you, I changed the alternator, the light flickering and starting problems in my car were fixed, but 1 week later, today, the lights started to flicker again, what do you think could be the reason for this? What should I do?

Take the car to the auto parts store where you purchased it to to have them check the alternator for free. It could be a bad alternator if you purchased a remanufactured one.
