Amazing Comparison Alex, That mustang is moving with the ESS Supercharged, i believe thats the way to go with our 5.0! Thanks

Great work on your video editing lately Alex. You still keep it simple and to the point. That 100 octane gains on the ZR-1 are surprising!
@camonly849 Жыл бұрын
Well the extra octane doesn't do anything hp wise, unless it's tuned for that. It just helps prevent Detonation. Running 100 octane in your 87 tuned ford explorer is just wasted money that will add no power.
@nicsantarpia81192 жыл бұрын
I'm impressed, the ZR1 is really moving with minimal changes
@malegros192 жыл бұрын
Also, it's interesting to see that the white car does a better time compared to its previous Vortech setup even if your dyno showed a 50whp difference. Good example for those chasing dyno numbers when they should just test their car in the real world.

Exactly, on average the ESS makes more power with less pulley than the V3. "power under the curve"

Great video Alex!!! I really like the ESS G3X SC. I am gonna put it on my incoming Dark Horse. I have a Corvette Z06 + a Porsche 911 Turbo S. The P car is extremely fast. Running 9.7 on the 1/4 mile with just a tune, headers & some weight reduction. I was always a Pro-charger guy but the ESS G3X with the G4 intercooler & 110 pulley is what I plan for the DH. I mean it being lighter with better aero is the only reason it's as close as it is the ess blown 5.0 put down 100 more rwhp. Torque doesn't matter as much in this type of test. It also didn't go that quick till he went to race fuel the coyote was on pump gas far as I know.

Just ran an 8.3 60-130 today in my vararam intake and headers 93 tune C6 base ls3 lol. Corvettes run good when set up well. I'm sure I will get it into the 7s soon, stock converter just bolt ons no cams/heads/intake manifold/etc
@midnight3472 жыл бұрын
I bet that was in real good da. Do you happen to know what the da was at the time of the run? Da swings things alot especially with na cars. That's a solid time. The aero really helps vettes as does the weight.
@techmaster7772 жыл бұрын
@@midnight347 Oh I for sure took advantage of the DA, it was -1600, ran the same in -600 also, 8.3s. Good air does help but there's only so much it can help, I think I'm maximized as far as airflow/temps go for my setup. Aero does help too. my PB is an 11.2 at 127 mph, I'm gonna take another 150 pounds out and try to be the first to run a 10s 1/4 mile with stock converter and just bolt ons lol. Then slapping a blower on it :) should be fun

@@techmaster777 nice I can't even imagine -1600 da I ran my gt500 in +1600 and that is like the best we ever see where I live that was winter time 50 degree day da lol. I did a 6.52 with a gen3r, twin 69 tbody, stock headers, oem long block (stock heads/cams) I think that is solid for a 2007 model car with a simple blower swap and injectors/pump boosters.
@midnight347 Жыл бұрын
@@techmaster777 another guy made a video of how da effects things and I can't remember the car he was running but he was getting about .13 better or worse for every 1000 foot of da so the difference between -1600 and +1600 would be like 4 tenths or something probably. That is pretty significant and that aero is Def helping you plus you're auto. 4 tenths is alot of time on a 60-130 pull as I'm sure you're aware. Every little thing matters. I ran mid 8s in 1500 da when my gt500 was bolt ons doing like 550 rwhp at 3800 lbs without my big ass in it (prob about 4100 with me in it or close) and worse aero so that seems about right. Manual too obviously like all gt500s that haven't been auto swapped.
