Love Mike, grinding out of that little garage, taking any vehicle, doing it all on HIS terms. Respect!

Surprisingly, this truck is in good condition considering the mileage Mike. Thanks for showing.

Not many people on KZbin are showing maintenance on real farm trucks, looking forward to MORE. Watching people work on new 80k show queens is about as boring as watching paint dry. Bring on the 250k mile work horses, trust me, you will build a large following.

Cliffhanger. Showing the repairs and what he elected to get fixed and didn’t might make good content also.

Another great video, Mike! I just wanted to mention that the flashlight you're using causes a lot of strobing on camera. You might want to consider a different one.

The cold start rough idle is a common issue on the ls. Typically a new set of intake gaskets fixes the issue.

Must be one heck of a ride with that front shock messed up. Maybe some banging noise too. Also a bit of a safety hazard. I'd gamble and say it's an O2 oxygen sensor problem in the mix that needs to be replaced.

Show us how you fix them too. Not just the foreplay of diagnosis and the usual walk around.

I had a 2000 Chevy with a 4.8 I believe smaller V8 the only problems I had with some rest well the cab of Mount driver side rear, was pretty Rusty and I was able to put one on the other welded are now so I had to cut it off. And I found one from a K5 Blazer that was real close laser probably was from the 80s maybe the 70s.. use that truck many years I got it pretty low miles when I retired I sold it to another guy and he's just tickled w it.. exmore V8 got really good mileage

Mike, that is quite a well used farm truck. I wonder how much or how little they decide to have you replace/repair?

Back when GM made really good trucks. I should have kept my 1995 with the 4.3L, a little underpowered but really reliable.

I have a 2000 GMC, same engine, 350k miles and still drives great. Always do required maintenance and these engines last. Though, I have the ABS / brake light on, per scan says its an ABS sensor. I had another 2002 truck that had same thing.. A friend has same on his 2003 GMC.. Is that a common issues?

200,000 on country roads is much better than 50,000 on Northern city streets with all their salt.

Dirt roads or not, driving without a shock absorber is a bad ideea. No wonder the bump stop on that side was smashed to pieces. Also, I can imagine an emergency braking scenario, jeez.
