Great video. I tried to do a similar one with Silverstone '11, but other than Wellington and Hangar, you can't get this close, and I was too busy enjoying it to give a toss about the vid. I always think Monza looks so narrow.

@maxg4sr Well, the role of the internal combustion engine has been reduced significantly, with a lot of the power coming from Energy Recovery Systems (ERS). The overall power produced by all systems should be very similar to the 2.4 V8s. The cars must leave the pitlane only using ERS, and HOPEFULLY the noise wont be awful!

Jesus! When the group of four scream by together towards the end, one of the best sounds ever. Such a shame will never hear these on a race weekend again 😢 don't get me wrong I like the sound of the current cars in person when going to silverstone but it pales in comparison

a 2.4 liter V8 producing 325NM of torque, those are 135NM/L a V10 reaches at most 115NM/L a normal car reaches at most 100NM/L, and would I need a turbo to reach 135NM/L I mean you they limit the cylinder capacity and the RPM you have nothing left but to increase the average effective pressure, okay in case the V8 have an advantage over the V6 and V10, on this but even so you have to use many tricks to get that the first the most traditional the airbox that thanks to the bentury effect manages to increase the pressure in the intake plenum by about 10%, and then something more complicated the piston when it goes down and makes the intake reaches 168MPH and sucks the air at that speed when the valves are closed the gas, due to its inertia, wants to continue flowing and finds that the valves are closed and this increases the dynamic pressure and in the next cycle we take advantage of that to exceed 100% volumetric efficiency, and to do all this you have to optimize the geometry of the cylinder head and the airbox you have to make mathematical models to know what happens with the laminar and turbulent flow, and in fact that was the case there are mathematicians involved in this, and this is not all the engine reaches 18,000RPM but the speed of normal combustion since the cylinder has a diameter of 98mm, so yes or if you have to use a compression ratio of 17:1, and not only that you have to use a rich mixture to cool the engine dead inside and the composition of the Gasoline has to be very specific so as not to form carbon monoxide that reduces power or the gasoline does not burn or it burns well, it is often said that the V8 had an efficiency of 29% but if we do not count the gasoline that does not burn in Actually the efficiency is 40%, the F1 gasoline of those years is very special, and this shows that F1 is a laboratory for new technologies that will come in the next few years, the famous lead that increases the octane was already very old fashioned and also c Any metal-based octane booster has certain associated risks, although less than lead, but the F1 gasoline of those years had aniline and nitrosamine, organic compounds that do not pose health risks to the manufacturer or the general population, compounds that in concentrations of 2% they could make a normal gasoline suddenly have 120 octane

@maxg4sr With DRS and f-duct in the past few years, teams have been putting a bit more downforce on the car than we are used to in the hope of preserving tyres, so I would that the V8 cars could go a bit faster than that... although I am only speculating!

@theghostshadow95 Well, I had a 3 day first chicane grandstand ticket, but this a (bloody amazing) general admission area
+Jefizal Putra These cars had this "strange" sound because of the blown diffuser. In 2012 the FIA made using blown diffusers forbidden.
