I had the privilege of hearing the Matra V12 in the 70s at Watkins Glen. I'm sure I lost some of my hearing to that motor and it was worth it. If only F1 sounded like that again !

The sign, I believe from everything I've ever read about Monza, is located off of the track premises. I saw the fans do the same thing to a Pepsi billboard and the description stated that it wasn't within the boundaries of the track. So while the race organizers probably (maybe?) would have prohibited it, it was then up to the local police to enforce any safety measures regarding the climbing of signs. And in all seriousness, they were probably fans too, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if one or 2 of those people worked for the police dept. That's Monza, baby

W-O-W !! The sound of REAL racing cars. A V12 - Matra or Ferrari... I don't care. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Pure Moozik to my ears either way 🎶 And cars you had to DRIVE. Manual gearbox, no engine mode/diff split/fiddly other cockpit adjustable sh*t. Just get in, drive fast, and shut the f*ck up. REAL racing by REAL Pilots. Forget the eF1 cars that sound like glorified Hoovers these days. Yanno... they trot out an "old" V10 at the Melbourne AUS GP for demo runs every now and then. And the entire crowd runs towards the fences to see what is making that incredible RACING sound... like... WTF *IS* that?!?. Oh... to hear a Matra or an Enzo at full lungs one day would be ever sooo sweet. It's not just a sound - it's FEELING you never forget ❤
