24:38 A8s bttn vs co 58bb stack opens to 2.25x surprised to see this fold. i would 100% 3b small here to iso a likely fun player HU. is there a reason you passed on this?

I'd love to see a video on preflop play. Some of your folds confuse me loool. You fold some suited connectors, then raise ones that are very similar. You also don't call every 3bet. I love knowing the logic behind great players decisions . Thanks for doing these videos really fun to watch.
@patrickf.45072 жыл бұрын
Mostly it depends on position, size and a lot of hands are simply around 0 EV or mixed. So, mixing these hands up is theory - and if u have info (like bigger sizes), u can deviate 🙏🏻 A reason for ex. is EQ-Realisation with Pockets is often quite bad - especially oop.
@PhonyBologna2 жыл бұрын
A lot of defends are mixing between fold and call too, and he uses a randomizer to decide. Same goes between 4 bet or flatting, he'll randomize. Hence why it's very confusing.

Hey Ryan, big fan of yours from your upswing module "How to Think Through Any Spot Like a Pro". Can you do some video series on how to exploit live passive player pool (maybe using some solvers)?

Hi man, Great content! 👌🏻 The Q9 suited in 3bet pot BTN VS CO i didnt really agree with the Range bet on the 456 board. I would Guess our Range wants to check back quite a bit on that board.
@PokerWithRiske2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I believe I said in video I wouldn’t bet this board often, but that my hand seems fine to use. Definitely a very high frequency check in theory, could be close to range.

Hey Ryan. First of all thanks for the excellent content. I echo that for Connor's videos as well. I just wanted to ask for your advice about something. I'm currently a slightly above breakeven 10NL player. My winrate is currently 1.64bb over 182k hands. I have spent a lot of money (relative to my bankroll) on training sites and software too. I'm pretty much a rakeback grinder. I would like to get my game to a point where I can consistently beat 10NL and hopefully move up to 25NL and 50NL. I've been thinking about getting coaching from a professional player. I've looked at a few coaches who are in the $200/hr range. Ideally I would like a pro to do a deep dive into my game and identify what my biggest leaks are. I get in too many spots post-flop where I am basically guessing and autopiloting a lot, especially in speed poker. I could definitely use some help with my mental game as well. Would you recommend me getting a coach? Also for what it's worth, I think your CFP program is excellent. If I was playing 100NL or above, I would definitely be interested in it.
@PokerWithRiske2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! If are going to pay for a coach you could probably find someone cheaper than $200/hr that could still help your game.

I'm a mainly live player and play 100/50nl few times a week and I win small without a hud. Grinding less less than 50nl is basically a big waste of time and I'd recommend u get a job instead. Not worth to pay 200/hr if u play these stakes lol. I'm happy to help u with some free advice if u want :)

hey there! used to work as a coach for a poker training site 10 years back, played a bunch of cash up to nl200 then. if youre interested we can talk through some of your hands - for free. glad I found this content, it scratches an itch in my brain to see how poker is played nowadays

Hi, can you explain why you would bluff with Ts8s instead of Qs8s? 36:00 What is the difference.??
@PokerWithRiske2 жыл бұрын
Just have a lot of bluff combos to choose from, so want to unblock the hands I’m targeting for a fold. QQ/QJ mainly bets flop and then when he calls turn he has hands like AQ, Qxss. Where if I have T8ss I block hands like JT, J8, TT and 88. So I’d rather bluff lower missed spades and then random air all bluffs like Q9o no spade

Hey, about the JJ 3bet Hand .. isn‘t it better to jam the river ourselves? To get value from his Kx, flushes and boats? To not give him the opportunity to „nit“ Check back the river ? Im Just curious😌☺️… thanks for your answer ! One of the best free content out there ! Keep it up !😇
@PokerWithRiske2 жыл бұрын
When we block his Jx and unblock all his bluffs, Kx and flushes, check seems good. He should jam all flushes and most Kx here, so we shouldn’t lose any value and we allow him to bluff.

34:00 4betting AQs just to fold to a jam seems like a disaster , 4betting AQo and cold calling AQs makes much more sense
@PokerWithRiske2 жыл бұрын
We should have no cold calls here. Our entire continuing range plays as a 4b. Therefore we might as well use the best hands we would otherwise have to fold
