I just bought a 2010 Prius (in white!) And your videos have been so helpful. Do you have any tips for how to prefill the oil filter since it's side mounted?

Nice! It's hard to refill the canister type of oil filter as the oil will poor right back out. The only thing you can do is convert to a spin on oil filter to be able to pre-fill the filter halfway.

Hey Jim, just curious how you manage driving your fleet of vehicles. Do you drive them equally and put them on rotation so each of them gets driven at least once a week? Or there's a favorite one that's daily driven racking up the most miles? Could be an interesting topic as I also have like multiple cars and it's almost a part time job keeping track of their usage

The Prius is my wife's car and she drives it for work and errands most of the time. I use my 2006 xB as my errand car a lot. The RAV4 is used during winter months more and my wife drives it some too and we use is for date nights. My 3 Corollas I drive and rotate around. I do have several Battery Tenders and leave some cars on them in case they don't get driven for several weeks. My MR2 doesn't get driven much during the winter but I do get it out several times during nice dry days, even if it's cold. The one thing I do when I drive is I always drive a decent distance of at least 40-50 miles so every thing gets warmed up. I normally take one of my Corollas on a long road trip each year too. Last year I took my 2009 Corolla Turbo on a 7200 mile road trip and my 89 MR2 on a 2300 mile road trip for a car show. The year before I took my 2017 Corolla iM on a 6500 mile road trip and I do this every year! I hope that helps.

Thanks, that's very helpful. Another aspect of having too many cars is that I have to be mindful about the age of gasoline in the tank, I try to make sure no fuel stay more than 1 month in a car, but good point on battery tender although I haven't had the need to do so since the rotation driving keeps the battery charged@@jimsgaragetoys
