@PistonPundit my reason is that EVs need to be improved to accommodate my high standards and needs. For as much as I travel along with the distances, there's no EV anywhere in the United States that can accommodate me. My Jaguar XJL cost me 41 thousand dollars used paid off And, with only 18 thousand miles on it. It takes me 3 minutes of down times for fueling. Provides me with a range of 570 miles and is a large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make. I really can't use a car with long sitting times that provides a short and shitty range and, I don't buy little tiny cars. My Jaguar XJL more than serves me well and is more than a pleasure to drive. If the United States wanted to develop in electric travel then why not develop in high-speed bullet train technology which is also, (fully electric)? This is something the mighty United States of America should of had decades ago. If you want me to switch to all electric then you have to improve the EV so it provides me with the same qualities and provisions my XJL does or better. Otherwise, I'm going to leave well enough alone.....

Lets face it,the chances of second hand sales on evs are slim to none,so that makes depreciation astronomical.Add to that spontaneous combustion and range limitation make them useless for people on average incomes.Its about time governments faced reality and scrapped cut off dates for ice vehicles.
@camreed6832

Except 2nd had sales of EVs happen everyday. They also do NOT spontaneously combust as statistically, that is extremely rare…It is actually much LESS rare then ICE cars spontaneously starting on fire. The range of modern EVs are more than enough for 85% of daily commuters.

Liked & subscribed 👍…..Just yesterday a guy ran out of gas and pulled into my driveway, gave him a bit of gas to get to the station, off he went in a few minutes. What if this guy had an EV ? 🤣….no thanks to an EV for me. Besides all the reasons you state in your video, which are ABSOLUTELY correct. The Democratic Party cab go straight to hell as far as I’m concerned.

But they degrade over a long time. BYD are now giving lifetime guarantees. They will be followed by others. Combustion engines don't degrade, they just stop working.

Have you seen the thickness of the cables they use ?, I’ve tied up boats using thinner rope than some of those cables. Working on your own ICE car you could get it wrong and damage it, you could graze your knuckles or cut a finger, working on your own EV could kill you.

We in Australia are nowhere close to being ready for multiple EVs, in fact we're still light years away. Once you get out of the city there 's really no charging options. I live on the east coast in a tourist area and our closest public charger is 25 minutes away. I wonder how many tourists are aware of that when they come to stay.

There is definitely a place and time and small customer base for EVs, which is probably already approaching saturation. It is however unreal sheer insanity bordering on acute psychiatric illness to insist that EVs are the answer for everyone, or that replacing all ICEs with EVs is in any way "green". The copper doesn't exist, the lithium doesn't exist, the electricity generation doesn't exist, and the transmission capacity from the fossil fuel power stations to EVs doesn't exist. And the amount of oil-derived plastics needed to make all those EVs will need extra oil extraction from as yet untapped oil wells.

Range anxiety is due to still lack of charging infrastructure. if petrol gas station is also rare to find someday due to shifting of technology and also rare of materials to produce petrol, the gas car also facing the same problem. But now ice engine and its suporting infra already available for hundred years ahead of ev, so cant be compared that way.

Anyone charging an EV in their garage is a fool; unnoticed battery damage or charging issues can cause an EV's battery to go into thermal runaway, which can burn down your entire home (or, God forbid, an entire apartment complex.) There are too few advantages and far too many disadvantages for me to ever consider owning an EV.

Battery degradation is lower than expected. 10 years old Tesla S after 200,000 miles has 80-85% of battery capacity left. Hybrid cars are good. They are not as worn as regular ICEs after 100,000 miles, but they wear more than an equivalent electric car Service and repair costs are now much lower for electric cars than for ICE. Especially for cars with more than 50,000 miles Range anxiety barely exists among electric car owners, but is an argument put forward by electric car haters to blackmail electric cars. About 70% of Tesla owners buy a new Tesla when it's time to change cars. Of the other 30% who change brands, half buy an electric car of another brand and a large part of the others buy plug-in hybrids. There are so far too few models of electric cars to choose from so it suits everyone. But the models are increasing every year and the price gap with petrol cars is narrowing.

@ingemarhedlund8476 7 күн бұрын
@@DemonHunter0069 6-7 years ago, an electric car with a range of 250 miles cost twice as much as a gas car. Today, an electric car with a 300 mile range costs 50% more than a gas car. Regarding battery degradation, so far there is only experience from the Tesla S. They have lost 15-20% of capacity after 10 years and 200,000 miles.
