Thank you! I did a transmission swap on my 2014 Malibu was having all these issues. I don’t have a scope but I went through and checked everything I unplugged and cleaned them with parts cleaner. My corporate was the power steering rack plug.

Was the fuel relay clicking when you try to start it? Mine is doing the same thing but my fuel pump relay is clicking in my truck

2 issues with this video Brother, you have a known problem with the TCM connector pin fitment but you did not adjust pin tensions, also a favor please, your scan tool showed 8 modules according to the count the Snap On shows at the top of the screen after a full scan. You have some COMM Codes and some modules were missing from the list. After you make repairs can you please do a post-scan and show the count of all the modules? Different scanners count in different ways but this is important to many of your viewers, cheers.

Mines doing this same thing I used traction control then this happened it stalled out as I was driving also had the emissions sensor. Now all I get is service esc. The recall for the bcm was done or so they said but it's still not starting. I've changed the ecm and the main fuse box and had it programmed nothing it had a bunch of code once every other time always no freeze frame or fault codes.

Thats not how you fix the problem at all… you dont just throw random modules at it. You connect a scope to can hi and can low and look at data packets. Then you unplug each of the modules one at a time on the high speed network until the scope shows descent pattern on the can. Then you know which module it is

Greetings, I change my cluster because stop working, the new one (used) works well but, dont count miles. is it supposed to automatically count them or something additional needs to be done? It may be that is a unit with that defect? Thanks!!!

Uhm GM don’t like swiping used part they will not work. Programming is needed for a new cluster otherwise it will not work.

The connector needs to be secure properly. If you disconnect that connector you just create more problems because they usually don’t go on firmly like before. Use a little grease to lube the weather seal and connect it again.

I have a 2013 Malibu 2.5L LT doing the same thing. It can run for days then get all kinds of codes. U0100, U0101, U0073 etc etc. Many more. Mechanic could never catch it with the scanner when it happened. It cannot be trusted to drive. We have cleaned the ECU and TCM connectors and used dielectric grease. Put a new Diehard AGM battery in. Replaced red and negative cables and fuse box distribution block on top of battery. New driver fuel module. I have not cleaned the BCM connections. Do you think I need to do a more thorough job of cleaning the TCM connector? My car acts exactly the same way as your video.

No no no.. you have to use a scope and watch packets on the can hi and low. Then you disconnect the modules on the can bus one at a time until the data packets look normal. When you disconnect the one that returns the can to normal, that is your bad module…

2010 Chevy Malibu will start but won't stay running about listen 5 minutes it will die unless you spray the starter under the hood PSI is at 55

Would the car start when turning the key...my gauges do the same thing but won't start and upon watching your video I was hoping this would do the trick but still not working.. although upon wiggling the tcm my power locks were going haywire does this mean my module's bad?? Pls help

It's really weird all I did was put an old battery in got it jumped over let it run for 30 mins and when it decided not to start back after shutting off put the other good battery in and now have this issue

I doubt if your throttle body was causing CAN bus interference. This guy may not be a NASA scientist, but his methods are viable if you don't have a dealership shelf full of parts to swap in and try. It's possible he moved around some other wires near the blue plug, and got a better connection, but who knows.
