Hello there, I have a 2008 HHR LS 2.2, and the issue is having is that is blowing really hot air with the air conditioning on, but I mean blowing really hot as if the heater was on instead of the air conditioning. Thank You and God Bless.

If the coolant temperature sensor stops working, the air conditioner compressor clutch will not engage. If you have a dead temperature gauge and a dead air conditioner, chances are you've got a bad thermostat, bad coolant temperature sensor, or a bad wiring connection to the coolant temperature sensor.

I checked my filter after watching this video, and it was clogged. I had replaced it in July of 2020, so it didn't take long to fill up. A clogged filter will act like the A/C is low on R-134a when it isn't.

Great video, but you put the filter in upside down. The fan blows air, it doesn't suck it. The airflow arrow needs to point up.

Got a 2009 trying to overheat when I'm at red lights. When I drive, the needle goes back down. Is this common with these?

@@gqautodiagnostics ABSOLUTELY! I appreciate your reply! The fan blows when idling and when the car is in park and the car is running, but the needle still inches up past the halfway point, getting close the the red lines. Even after I cut the vehicle off, you can hear it blowing over several seconds after turning the car off.

I have a 2009, the ac was working just fine for 2 days, then i smelled a burning smell and the ac stopped working. I want to try everything before i buy a new ac compressor. I've already tried refiling my ac, and replacing the fuse. i replaced the filter because it was nasty and had so much debris. still nothing... any help?

Hello. I am sorry to hear that. Have you checked the refrigerate charge yet? If that is low that would explain why is taking longer to cool down. The second thing that you need to check is the radiator fan. If the Dan is not working properly it will only cool down when you are driving around. Keep me posted and good luck.

What did you do to fix the tire problem , and mine is leaking water on the passenger side when the air works .. and it only works when I'm driving but if I stop it stops..

Hello. Two new tires were replaced and that fix the problem. If is leaking water outside the car when the a/c is working that should be normal. Check the charge on the system to make sure is full. Also make sure that the radiator fan is working properly, if the fan speed do not work that would explain why the air conditioning works when you are driving the car. Good luck. Keep me posted. Thank you for posting your question. When the cabin filter is restricted like you saw in the video. The inside of the car would become warm because there is not good air flow. Check this filter before trying to charge the a/c system. Keep me posted.
