How could someone give this a thumbs down? Why? Makes no sense. This family should have their pictures next to both courageous and forgiveness in the dictionary. God Bless you all.

We watched this in church this morning, it moved us all to tears. It helped to remind us to act instead of react to things that happen. To forgive is hard but much better then to be embittered.

This story always makes me wonder about what could have been. There was an E60 feature on Coach Thomas as well. From the sound of it, this Mark kid never got the help and support he needed, not that it excuses what he did. I wish every high school in the country could have an Ed Thomas and unite a town from generation to generation.

I was thinking about that too because I also saw the E60. Espn did a great job giving this story attention. They aired the school's first game after he died. RIP Coach!

I remember the tornado and the shooting. I'm from near Des Moines, However, I didn't know about all of the details about the football team. I just thought it tragic to have the local coach and an F5 tornado wiped out most of the town. That just kind of sucked, I didn't know the role they played in bringing the town back. Hopefully this is inspiration for the Wadena, MN who recently endured their big tornado.
