2010 F150, Stalling and Crank No Start. Codes P025A, P0690 and U0109

This F150 was towed in for a cranks no start condition I believe related to fuse 27 overheating due to poor design. There is a tsb on this.

It is interesting that Ford's solution to the disintegrating Fuel Pump Driver is to put it inside a plastic housing and remove all the heat-sinking instead of just relocating it to a better location. Looks smaller, so maybe they've upgraded it with better circuitry so it doesn't get as hot. It sucks trying to diag a fault that you can't reproduce. However, fulfilling that TSB and removing it as a variable was an excellent decision. Looks like it may even apply to my 2013 from what it showed in your video. I may take care of it one day after I fix my air conditioning. Priorities.

Very smart diag, Phil. Just like you said, service info can sometimes lead you down a rabbit hole. I’m sure the truck will not be back as that FPDM is problematic.

Very helpful video . Did the relocation of fuse . Replaced the module . Bypassed wiring and heard the fuel pump running and still a no start . Any further ideas or suggestions ? Thank you.

Do you have fuel pressure, spark and injector pulse? Is it setting any codes? RPM should show cranking speed on the scanner...

@@PhillipBailey Hello. I get 3 pulses on the injectors ? Then it continues to crank without a pulse ? Have a tach signal on dash ? Hook multimeter to coil packs and get around 9 volts as soon as I turn key on then it jumps between 8-9 volts when cranking ? Only have a cheap code reader and can’t tell how much fuel pressure or crank speed ? Is it normal to get voltage at the coils as soon as key on and no cranking ? You are the only guy on KZbin that shows how to diagnose a problem . Very helpful videos . Thank you .

Restraint control module B11D8 and also P0230 fuel pump primary circuit short to ground or open ? Can hear fuel pump going when jumping pins on fuel pump module wiring like you did on another video . Does it need a fuel pump even if I can hear it ? Your help is greatly appreciated.

@tripleh9985 yes normal for battery voltage to the coils with the key on. Do you have spark at the coils? You need better test equipment. Does the fuel pump run with the engine cranking? If not you could have a wiring problem to the fuel pump module.
