#27 gets relocated to #70. Everyone with a 09-14 F150 will get stranded by this at one point or another. I'd recommend it to every customer you get. It's a maintenance item. Did mine as such. Your list is bang on!

The fuse is the problem. Just use a regular height fuse and problem solved. Ford used a reduced height fuse that concentrated the heat.

Broke down in Phoenix this last week. Took my truck to a shop and they replaced the relay and fuel pump control module to the tune of nearly $500. Drove to Flagstaff turned it off and it wouldn’t restart. It finally started so I left it running until I was home in Idaho. I just watched your video and pulled fuse 27. That's a very good observation thank you for the info. I had to do the relocation of the fuse and a fuse box recently on the F-150. I know it comes with two stickers one that goes inside the owner's manual and the other one goes on the fuse box. That way whoever works in the vehicle in the future knows that the fuse was relocated.

Man, with that tank sucked in i’d be worried about a stuck closed vent solenoid or gas cap too. Parts are making things harder lately too. Did a FPDM last week and the replacement was defective, went from low power and low voltage to pump, to no start and no voltage to pump. Smh Stay strong.

The biggest problem I have found with no starts is corrosion. If you have checked out all the culprits, pull all the fuses in engine fusebox and spray penetration oil for an overnight soak. This has solved the problem many times. But a good scan can't be beat!

I literally had to do this on my 2011 f150 FX4 5.0 And I just did one Friday on 2013 3.5 liter. If you have never done one it's looks scary with all the wires. But it usually takes about 10 min. Relocation down one row from f27. Move to driver side 8 spots. Put in a mini jcase. Every fuse relocation I did that's what was in the pack

My trucks been down for 3/5 days at my friends house and first day I dropped the tank and changed the fuel pump sending unit out for the second time ! I think I’m having a purge valve issue with my 2020 F150 2.7 ecoboost. On a warm restart it’ll misfire heavily unless I give it gas. Or it’ll stall right away. Noticed it does it bad after filling it up

I have only seen the tank concaved like that on a 2011 Ford Edge so naturally assumed it could happen on full size trucks too so i always check the tank . On the Edge there was a P0441 and a P0172 which lead me in the right direction . I would have been surprised had there not been any codes and the tank that distorted ! Then again we learn every day !

Something that’s so weird to me coming from motorcycles is how clean and rust free our bikes are but cars have “Normal Rust” 😅 I about died when I saw my transit driveshaft caked in rust but they told me “that’s normal”. I have a 2013 F150 was running some errands. Came out of the post office and it wouldn't start just turned over. Called a mobile mechanic. He sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it started but it wouldn't keep running, fuse looked good. He said it was the fuel pump. 40 degrees and windy. Long story short he replaced the fuel pump $450.00. Started and ran great. Next day started okay, went to a doctor appointments and stopped to get something to eat. Came out and the same thing, no start. Had it towed to my house. Mechanic came out and did the fuse bypass kit. Started and ran great. Next day same thing, no start. Mechanic came and replaced the fuel pump relay. Started and ran great and I haven't had any problems. So what is the problem?

2012 150 Lariet when i 11:55 get the no start issue spraying starter fluid in the air breather it starts. Changed the flue pump and fuel modulator. Not the purge going to try that tomorrow.

How you give me a little bit more information about what it does do when it's warm does it crank when you say when it's warm does it mean that the oil is warmed up but when the oil is cold it won't start? What previous work has been done and what codes have been cold pulled from the computer

@@billyryder501 With what you’ve described and having NO codes, then it’s usually a mechanical issue with the fuel system. Could be fuel filter, could be fuel pump, could be injectors. The only electrical problem that could be the issue without throwing a code is a temp sensor for fuel mix. A Ford tech can plug into your truck and find out.

My 2012 having this issue. Tried the fuel pump driver module, replaced plugs, purge valve, and #27 fuse. Fuel pump primes. Whats weird is I pulled the #27 fuse and it started for a second then stalled. Could it be corrosion in the fuse box? Ordered a relocation kit. Hope this is the issue.

Did you check the connector in the fuse box on the passenger side in the cab? And did you check the ignition coil fuse in the fuse box as well remember I have multiple videos on this no start issue specifically look at it there's a Ford Raptor same basic setup I did everything that I can do to figure out what was wrong with it come to find out at the end of everything I checked the ignition coil fuse in the fuse box it was gone the customer was messing with the fuses and removed it

So you typically have to make sure in your policy whenever you buy your vehicle that you have paint and Corrosion Protection I know there are some coverages but I think they expire quick and it is a common problem on the Explorers we have people coming in all the time complaining about it and they are livid

Does the purge valve issue affect other engines or primarily the 3.7NA? I am not having any issues besides the dead lead-frame (Ford is offering to pay half the bill despite it being reported under warranty) but I am curious. *EDIT* That is up to 2014. They changed to the aluminum body in 2015. My 2015 does not have the power distribution/fusebox up front like my 2013 did. It is on the passenger side, but you likely know what I mean.

I have a 2011 f150 3.7 liter, I replaced that fuse years ago because it cranks and no start, recently it no crank no start with dash saying start system fault so after little research someone said it could be the key fob, turns out it was, i bought an aftermarket key because of the stupid my key feature on this truck and the top speed was set to 80 mph. The original FoMoCo worked and the newer aftermarket key was trash. I try to use FoMoCo parts now especially after I replaced all my tire air pressure sensors from Amazon crap parts and they lasted less than a year and the originals lasted almost ten years.

@@donjefe5999 I had the original key fob in a drawer, I tried it after checking the battery in the fobs and under the hood and the fuses and it started, the aftermarket key gave the start system fault message, the original worked fine and still does to this day, their is no way to check unless you have an extra key fob, a locksmith has them probably around $150

Check the fuel pump driver module and also check the connector at the body control module inside on the passenger side down by the floor remove the fuse panel door and make sure the latches are pushed in all the way because sometimes people push up against the plastic and knock the latch out and break the Locking clip

The 2013 F-150 i mentioned to you before just shuts off randomly . NO codes , Rear pump relay has been replaced and fuse relocation has been done by myself recently . The truck i am diagnosing is a 5.0 l that will just shut off at idle warming up or 2 hours later driving at any speed or stopped at a light . There is NO condition , time or temperature related to when it shuts off . It does not stumble or chug but much like the key was just shut off . When restarting the key needs to be cycled to re-initiate the PATS but starts immediately and runs flawlessly until the next time it randomly shuts off . Any thoughts ?? NOTE i have checked all connections in the passenger kick panel and underhood fuse panel and also monitored the ECM & run/start relays which remain latched after the engine randomly shuts off .

Does it retain fuel pressure once it shuts off can you monitor the Data Logger and see what the fuel line pressure is once the vehicle dies is it able to continue to retain constant fuel pressure once the vehicle shuts off? Or whole entire vehicle just go dead as if there's no power

I had the long crank, for me all I did was replace every ignition related fuse, even if they looked good. Cleaned my air filter, and battery terminals. Bingo fixed. Always try the simple things first.

Im working on a 2011 f150 and the rear driver turn signal isn’t working, the brake lights work and the indicator clicks fast in the vehicle, I’ve checked all ground, fuses and relays. So 2011 on they started using where they would shut the circuit down or they would make the turn signal flash fast even after you put a new bulb in and corrected the problem until you clear the codes to let the computer know everything was okay now I can't guarantee that that's the problem but I had that happen to me before and then once I cleared the code that reactivated everything for me and went back to normal and all it was was just simply a blown bulb but it needed to see the codes cleared

Can you tell me this issue: my 2009 f150 4.6 engine, Last October 2022, as i was heading home and the truck shuts off all the sudden. I replaced water pump, fan clutch, spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel pump, starters & alternator, oil sensor switch, and it will crank but won't start. Its telling me that the spark plugs or ignition coils is misfire to pcm/ecm so I tried to lock the truck, it won't lock, no power. I called my ford dealer service said it could be fuel pump or the electrical issues. My neighbors said it could be the PCM that the rain moist got into the PCM but I checked all the relay and replaced few of them. I bought a new PCM computer. My neighbors said when he took the vehicle to dealer they said it was the PCM computer so they paid $1000 to start up. Do you think its the PCM. Any advice thanks

I would try to spray some starting fluid while cranking I didn't see if it starts and if it does then you have a fuel problem and if it doesn't you might have an ignition problem which in turn I would be checking the crank sensor make sure you got RPM signal because if you got no RPM signal in the vehicle won't start and that comes from the crank sensor crankshaft position sensor and if that don't work then it might well be a PCM

At work we’ve had a 2012 and 2013 3.7 f150 which have a hard time starting after getting gas. I guess it’s a common problem apparently.
