Nice work! You’re are correct. A pretty easy fix!! This latch has been a pain for years, then can’t believe I was considering the dealer fixing this.

i put the spring in backwards and now i cant remove the latch, have you had any problem with this or know how to remove it. the holes are too tight and i cant seem to slide the rod back out
@maxsaucedo52 Жыл бұрын
nvm i fixed it haha
@torrer2013 Жыл бұрын
@@maxsaucedo52 maybe a small thin flat head can slowly push the rod towards the hole with the opening.

I looked at a couple of youtube videos covering the same repair issue. They were all good; however, yours had the best HD videography in my opinion and it gave me the confidence to effect the repair myself. It took me less than five minutes to remove and replace the center console latch in my 2010 Honda Ex Coupe after watching your video. FWIW, I also bought an OEM latch after reviewing some of the comments about the knock-off latches on Amazon. Thanks for your efforts. I saved a lot of money.

Just got done doing mine. I have a Husky 55 piece socket wrench set that has 4 Torx bits, one of which was the right size. I bought the GaeaAuto latch off Amazon, and it works just fine. The only problem was getting the cross pin situated right because it was a very tight fit. But thanks to old man strength and one thin dime, I was able to force it into position.

Im at my wits end. same car, latch broken in exact same place and cant get the latch clip removed for sh*t. What are you pushing on, on the left side of the latch? No flaming please. I usually good with this stuff.
@torrer2013 Жыл бұрын
Yes I was pushing on the left side of the latch, you kind of have to hold the center console lid in place so it doesn’t move when pushing the latch. Try and push close to the holes that the pin goes through rather than the part of the latch you can see when the cover is on.

I can’t find a part number or replacements but you can probably go to a salvage yard and find them on a same model car as yours. For this model it’s a t15 torx.
