I am a long time Harley owner and still ride my Electra Glide but I was able to snag an 26k mile 08 GL1800 with Audio / NAV / Comfort for 10k. I thought I did ok. Bike looks and runs like new. It was maintained like clockwork. I also got a new set of tires and a Garmin Zumo device included. I wont add anything else to it. Its been a joy to ride. So different from my Harley but both have their place in my garage

I have an Electra glide as well. Love the bike , but looking to maybe grab a gold wing or road glide. Can you please tell me your pros and cons between the two bikes. Would you say the gold wing feels as heavy as the Electra glide ?

I do most of my long distance traveling now by motorhome. The wing was just too big and heavy to haul around. I haven't replaced it yet but will probably strap a scooter onto the rig at some point to still have something to ride when the mood strikes me.

@@ronfriedman8740 LOL I thought about it! Just a little outside my budget though. Just picked up my Yamaha XMAX scooter last week and it should fit nicely on the hitch mount. It's not a Wing but it sure is fun to ride!

Yes it did. If I'm not mistaken they were pretty much standard on all models by 2010. Same for the heated seat too.

I sold this and bought a motorhome for the next phase of my adventures. Couldn't resist so added a Yamaha Xmax scooter to the setup. Yes...I'm the old guy on the scooter now but it sure is fun! Anything on 2 wheels! Safe travels!

Yep. Thanks for the concern. If you look carefully there is an edit at 1:55 point while I let the bike warm up. Since it was February in Missouri I went inside after riding the bike around the block a couple times to assist in the warm up (as I stated). I then went back out quite awhile later and shut the garage door and then resumed the video with me entering the garage. Makes for better continuity and more enjoyable for the viewer.
