Good tip on shorting the AC relay to get the clutch to engage. I did this for a second, a few times with the AC pro Freon connected to the LP Port, that w as enough to get the compressor to cycle and pump down when I plugged the relay back in. Good video

So glad I found your video. Was dreading a $1000 compressor replacement. I swapped the AC relay with the horn relay, and cool air (no horn)! Only $23 for the new relay!

Forgot to mentioned that if you have less or little freon, or overfill freon the A/C sensor will not activate the compressor. So the freon must be at level correctly as the sensor is very sensitive!

Great video. Was the ac relay in my case. Had air blowing with the AC on, but it was only slightly cool. Heating system worked fine. Swapping the relays fixed the AC.

Awesome video, full of lots of tips, my speed3 ac stopped working and it was working fine, but it did throw a cel and it was for a misfire. Been working on the misfire. It’s a tough one to fix :/

Thanks for this helpful video, Question? Does this apply if there is no fan action when turned on heat or ac or only for the ac is there a different video for fan blower not blowing? Mines only got 55k miles on it so was kinda thinking it’s got to be something simple like a fuse

My air conditioning fans and heated seats work even when my car is off and without the key in the ignition. I checked the fuses and replaced the heat relay but the problem continues. Do you have any idea?

I have a 2010 Mazda 3, blower motor all of a sudden quit working. Checked all fuses/relays and nothing changed. Replaced blower motor and resistor and no change. Ended up replacing the hvac/temp control unit as well as the body control module and still have no working fan. The A/C compressor is working properly as it should. Driving down the road there is a little bit of airflow coming from the vents, assuming it is forced air because as soon as you switch it to the in cabin recirc there is no longer airflow. I am stumped and not sure where to look next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what's the name of the tool you have in hand? also, do you know why the car AC vent gets hot when AC fan is off. it is not blowing hot air into the car, it is just getting hot, even after you turn the car off, it is still hot. lots of condensation (droplets) around the vent

I just replaced my compressor and a new belt. I also charged the system with freon, but if it still blows hot air. The compressor kicks in when I turn on the AC but just hot air that comes out. There's no leak either. Im thinking maybe it's the condenser but unsure since there's no leak. Is there a way to check for other issues?

I have the same issue. Did you ever figure out what it was? I was thinking it might be the blend door actuator, but now that I've watched a couple videos they say if it was cold air would blow on one side. So I'm not sure now.

@@cd6691 you might wanna double check your freon level. If your compressor kicks in and there's no leak, double check that freon. It turned out I didn't push the tip of the freon hose all the way down on my AC line, which tricked me into believing that my freon was full when it was actually empty. When I pressed it all the way down I was able to charge it and it started working. It's sad I had to go to a shop and got charged a labor fee just to find out that everything is good but at least I figured out and have a working AC now. Hopefully that's the same problem you have so you won't have to spend a lot

Question here I have the same car but the trouble I’m having is my ac when I set it to high it doesn’t blow a lot of cold air. The highest setting is 4 and the cool air reach to my arms, the back of my car stays really hot and I wasted 1,500 dollars of ac parts and I still can’t get my car to blow cold air. I really need help people!!!!!

Mine had the whole blower motor finally die on me around 2018 or so, a later model, same deal though, started not working, cutting off at weird times, sometimes cold, sometimes not, it wasn't the compressor the entire blower motor often eventually fails and you have to replace all those parts. This issue is common to Mazda 3s and I think especially if you're facing really hot summers or hot climates, but not exclusively. The wear and tear of hot weather and running the AC constantly will eventually probably kill the blower motor.

Yeah I'm knee deep into a Mazda 3 and I can control a/c with autel it's charged correctly, but it will not kick on via the controls, but if I turn it on manually via the autel it comes on and works. I can not find an accurate wiring diagram. They all differ from what I actually see on the car, that or some has depinned and moved a pin into the wrong spot. Any suggestions would be great.

Is the check engine light on? Sometimes on these cars the ac and cruise control will get disabled if there are pending or active codes for the ecm. You can also look at the live data while the car is running to see if it has registered an ac demand when you attempt to turn the AC on.

@Lehew Tech yeah I've verified all that. It did not. This car was a 2011 with 21k. Looks like a Cali car at one point. So after a little research I found the car had been sold a lot to different dealers. After a wiring shop that specializes on this told me the diagram was incorrect I confirmed that all the wiring with the exception of 1H was correct on the back of the ac climate control. The chart shows that it should have a 5v reference that runs to the pressure switch. It did at the climate head, but not at the wire running to the pressure switch. The wire also doesn't make it to the connector. There also was no terminal in that spot on the connector but there is a pin on the climate control that with the connector plugged in had a 5v reference. So I ran a wire from the pressure sensor to the connector and made contact. Suddenly I have I get signal on scan tool and the ac kicks on. So I ended up putting a female terminal in the connector and running the wire. This appears to be a factory defect that was a buy back at some point.

@@lizard2006 wow. I wish you had a video for what you done. I replaced everything the ac compressor, the relay, new ac control module, high pressure sensor, new o rings and no leaks holds Freon. When I jump the compressor it kicks on but only when I jump it. I cannot figure it out. I live in Florida and it’s hella uncomfortable. Pretty sure I going to have to take it to get inspected

I have a year old Mazda 3 2021 or so, sedan. The past month or so the AC sometimes does not work at all (no air blowing no fan) on startup, or at odd times. I had an older Mazda 3 have the blower motor totally die on me forever in the middle of a heat wave about four years ago, had to have the dealership replace it. But this Mazda 3 is a lot newer. It died today on startup, then magically started working again about six hours later while driving it around on LI, NY here. Do you think it could be just the AC system fuses or whatever, or is it another blower motor that's about to fail totally? I was getting full AC and fan later today when it started working again. I shut off the car later in the driveway, turned it over again, AC was still working again then. I'm baffled. This should really not be happening in a fairly new Mazda 3.
