Thanks for the tutorial but how do you know you're just low on refrigerant and it wasn't a bad compressor?

Because it SLOWLY got warmer and not an immediate failure like if the compressor failed or a hose burst. Plus got lucky.

How much should I put for my mini since only blows air and if I change it to hot it does come hot. I bought a 10 oz Can and got it to almost 40 Is that ok?

took two hands, how did you connect it? im having issues connecting it

There are two accesses. One high-pressure, one low pressure and they are different sizes. Sometimes there’s an L on the cap to show the low pressure. The fitting on the can of gas that you buy has a quick disconnect that is spring loaded. You pulled the spring back with one hand, sometimes using the second hand to hold the fill pipe steady. But it should slip right on very easily. If it acts like it doesn’t fit, you’re probably on the high-pressure side which is a different size

You may need 3 hands the first time to get the feel of the quick-connect fitting on the can of refrigerant. Have one person hold the Filler tube connected to the ac unit still. Pull the spring loaded connect fitting back with one hand and push it down in the filler with the other. Similar to filling up a new bike tire tube. Fitting the valve to the stem.
