Thanks so much for this video. We had no idea we could run the diagnostic. It showed 4 segments with issues. We replaced the relay, and used another video to remove and service both the driver and passenger door blend actuators, and now all is well. Thank you for setting us on the path of a successful DIY fix!

@GaryJoanneGoble22 күн бұрын
Used this video 's chart. Really, we had an idea that both door blend actuators were faulty, so took both the driver and passenger sides out, took them apart and cleaned them, and also replaced the related relay in the fusebox. We originally had 4 segments indicating malfunctions with the diagnostic. After this fix, one segment remains, but it relates to the rear seating door blend actuator so we didn't fix it since we rarely have passengers in the rear.

Thank you so much Mr. Bollen. This was incredibly helpful. Had an appointment scheduled at the dealership to have them tell me what was wrong with the rear AC unit not blowing. They wanted $190 to do a "diagnostic." I told them to pound sand when they said it would take them 2 hours. I should've known there was a button press for diagnostics. This 100% worked. I found my issue within 5 minutes & replaced the faulty fuse. Air blows & issue fixed. Thank God you put this out there to help us save $ when dealerships are just out there to F as many people as they can.

@@shmuelbollen5253 odyclub was my first place to check but couldn't find it. I freeze framed and got the info I needed, but man I wish this stuff was easier to find! It seems some of the service technical stuff is difficult to track down these days, a lot of links are broken / missing images etc now. For example, looking up a wiring diagram to modify the RES on my EX-L was a lot harder than expected compared to other cars I've tinkered with, but I really appreciate you sharing this bit about the HVAC and making it easier!

What side you replace? I have same code and same issue and i believe there is 3 blend motors driver passenger and rear around lift gate

I have 2012, driver side is not cold enough but passenger is cold. I checked the actuater looks works fine. I removed the actuater and moved the gate by hand up and down but still no air colder than 73{driver side} hot air works fine. Do you know how to fix this issue? By the way, after driving 20 minutes all vents front rear left right give cold air! Is there's a way to reset the AC Al these issues showed up after replaced the battery!

I only had air coming out of the dash vents, despite the mode button appearing to work. I followed your diagnostic instructions and got the same error code as you (A), so I also replaced the front mode actuator. Now it's stuck on the defrost vents and shows code C when I run diagnostics. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated 😊 Thank you!
