Interesting! The newest Otis series 1 elevators I have found are at the Parker Adventist Hospital (Parker, CO) and they were installed in 2004. One bank has series 2 hall stations and 1990s-style series 1 cab stations (with green door close buttons). The other bank in the hospital is a standard early 2000s Otis series 1.

It is very rare to find these. Series 1 was discontinued as a mainstream/regular fixture line in 2005. Most of the latest ones I found in San Diego (such as Santaluz Club) were installed then.

I looked into the Series 1s you've filmed and said were 2007, 08, or 2010 installs, and found from satellite imagery that almost all of them are from 2003-05. Carson Honda - 2005 Keyes Woodland Hills Hyundai - 2004 Vons Oceanside - before 2002 (likely late 1990s given the brailles) South Bay BMW - 2004 Carson Nissan - 2004 San Diego Zoo monkey trail - 2005 Aqua Condominiums - 2003 1144 S Western, LA - 2004 Office Depot Beverly Hills - 2003 Extended Stay America Carson - 2004 Odyssey Plaza (in its current form) - 2003 I couldn't find sufficient information for the Holiday Inn Pacific Beach. Since it's an older building, I guess there's a remote chance that Otis brought back Series 1 years after discontinuation for that one install.

I can confirm the San Diego Zoo is not from 2005. It was never there at that time period. I remember when it was added on and that was in about 2006 to 2007. Not 2010 but not 2005.

I think I know which one you are talking about! It’s off of the I-15 near City Heights. I remember reading about those new elevators and that new bus station! Can’t wait to check them out!!!

How did you know this Otis Series 1 is from 2010? I thought they stopped making Otis Series 1 back in 2006 or whatever they stopped making Otis Series 1. That's rare for an elevator install from 2010!

I came here back in 2008/2009 and it was not finished yet!!! It was installed from 2008-2010 so it is custom.
