@Aaron77wil No, your wrong. I took it to the dealership, and there is a problem with the Uconnect module. thats what drained the battery and the part is on back order so i have no uconnect for about a month

@TexasTough the auto door handles on these are defective, so if ur service key notice comes on then u need to get that fixed ASAP or ur battery will drain

I feel your pain, I've had my 2012 challenger for about 4 or 5 months and I woke up to that same problem after I didn't drive it for a week, I had to stretch into my trunk! Bought a new battery drove it to work the next day didn't drive it for 3 days and guess what it's dead again

@StewartHaasNewman dont worry, you will. the 2011s have well documented problems with the door handles and trunk lids that drain the power. when the power drains it shorts out the uconnect also

2013 dodge charger SE and I've had it for about 7months. At 7,000 miles transmission had to be replaced. Just last night my evic showed battery saver mode and I was told by the dealer your battery might die soon. The message didn't appear this morning but overall I HATE this car. It's been in the shop for a month and it's always something else coming up

@SuperTriniking yeah, its the Uconnect Module that is draining the battery. Your going to have to wait for a month to hear the results, as his new part is on back order.

It actually came on 2 weeks ago (service key system notice), but has since gone away. but today my keyless entry stopped working on the driver side. whatever the case I will have it checked out. No worries im still under warranty, but its a shame that these amazing rides are defective.

Still a recall on the alternators and no replacements yet. My 2014 Challenger has been dead after not driving it for a while, put a new battery in but still the same problem. The diode goes bad in the alternator so for now I am getting a new alternator and save my old one to give to Chrysler when they finally get them in stock. I was just going to install a new rectifier diode in the alternator but I can't find one specifically for my alternator!! And for now I keep a trickle charger on it.

@vkeagle1 the abs, traction control, and brake lights is a defect that dodge is aware of and has a tsb out for it. The same thing happened to my 2011 charger after getting from service, took them about. An hour to fix it

I had the sam problem. Took it to the dealer and there was a recall for a software update, and that did the trick.

The alternator recall p60 isnow in effect. This happened to me driving down the road, the car just shut off! They are not able to provide a non-defective alternator at this point but rather the same onethat could have the same issue again until they manufacture the non-defectiveone....ridiculous!

Tosica Matthews Figueroa it's a recall problem. They will fix it for free. An you also can get reimbursed for any towing are any thing you paid out your pocket to get your car from wherever it shutdown at to get it to the dealership. It happen to me while driving on the highway. Car shutdown, windshield wipers came on, all dashboard lights came on , lost steering, you will also loose brake power. It will be very hard to press to get the car to actually stop. The alternator defect problem is a known problem. No matter if you have a warranty still on car are not they will fix it for free

i got a 2011 dodge charger i owe it bought it brand new with 5 miles on it after owening my charger i had 2 fuel pumps yes i said 2 fuel pumps replaced jump start 2 times also battery dies for no reason keys for remote start stay saying batter low have to replace both keys cant get in the trunk to jump start your car when the battery is dead because of no power batter is in the trunk for 43,880 cash i am sick of this shit this some bull shit we need to do somethin anyone down

happened on my 2012 sxt charger....... btw you can get in the trunk by pulling down the rear seats and pulling the glow in the dark handle to open the trunk

@@darckshadow19944 Well that's good IF you have the police pack. They coulda put a $5 lock cylinder on every trunk. My Charger does not have one. It also has no door keyholes except for the driver's door. If you have a significant battery problem and your trunk is full of stuff, you have lots of fun getting in. If it's a minor problem you can jump it under the hood to open the trunk. I've been there both ways and crawling in ain't no fun for an old man. Or they could put the battery back under the hood and be done with it.

Its that push to start that was affecting my car. I have a 2010 Nissan Altima and i had my car jumped after a month of owning it. I really hate it. And when the car battery dies i cant get into my car at all. So be lucky you can even do that.

wow I thought I was the only one with a 2011 lemon. I bought mine in february and had the whole front dash cam shaft sensor and o2 sensor changed already. keyless entry stopped the first time I washed it.

Patrice Bowie I just got new terminals, got my battery charged at advanced auto, I bought my battery in July of 2017, had an alternator placed on and the battery still keeps dying, I had a mechanic look at the car the terminals were really bad so they are replaced and I hope we are A- okay!

Make shour you don't leave the push button engine start in the run position, that will drain it as well. my aunt got a 300c 2011 and that happen to her car. she went to the dodge place, and raced all kind of hell. and they gave her a chrysler 200 to drive till they fixed it and they did fixed the problem by giving her a new 300c 2012. and there hasn't been problems since then. it has been 9 months now.

Ironic, We bought our 2011 Charger R/T July, battery went dead one occassion, Uconnect having problems synching, and just yesterday brake, ABS, and traction control lights on dash came on and run light on ignition button was on however car would not start!! Love the design of car but it is appearing to be a LEMON New Car. very pissed!! Been to dealership on 9 occassions in 4 months, WTF

That's not cool at all! I love the design of the Charger and 300c! Chrysler Corp. should've corrected that issue right off the assembly-line! What if you were taking a road-trip thinking "I gotta' brand new whip and it's all-good"? Hope it's been resolved. Still a sweet-looking ride!

Happened tome st 42k miles on 2012 chrysler 300. First radio turned off. then i pulled over, parked and my lights flickered and shut the car off. After a few tries to start everything went completely dead. I noticed when i jumped the car the alternater smelled smoked. Id hate to buy a battery and it go out cause a bad alternator. But i will have the battery tested first. Does anyone know if extended warranty covers batterys? $50 copay versus a $175 battery.

I feel your problem bro. I had to change the handles 3 times, repaint the bumper, dealer wrecked interior parts and had a blackberry blue handle installed instead of the black. Hope everything is going smoothly
