Thanks for the video my car broke down local mechanic wanted $160 for labor lol i asked him to let me borrow his tools he did and i did it on my own in 30 min on the side of the road lol he was surprised i still tipped him for loaning me his tools

You told him “nah, just lend me your tools” and he waited for you to do it yourself with his tools? And was “surprised” that you tipped him? Lol idk, man…

@@FilthUD😂 i never once said a mechanic came out and gave me a quote i clearly said a local mechanic meaning i was in the neighborhood and someone that does mechanic work locally to where i was told me how much it will be if i got it done at his shop but i didnt get it done at the shop he loaned me his tools not like i needed a whole box of tools i need about 4 tools and i got it done just coz you cant do things like this doesnt mean other ppl cant get your head out your ass

How did you get that alternator lined up? Like, I can't get the alternator on. The top keeps hitting the right side hole peg on the top right. Is it because the bottom isnt lined up? How'd you do it?

Thanks for the video. Great job, short and to the point. After removing the intake actuator For me the hardest part was reinstalling the belt and the passenger side splash shield issue. I removed the three 10mm bolts on the shield and the two Phillips screws and was able to push out of the way the shield for clearance to remove the lower 14mm bolt. Yet removing the splash shield is really not necessary unless you have belt issues( I have made a comment about this in a comment below). All you have to do is use a ratchet and a 14mm long socket or a short socket with a short extension and loosen the bottom bolt about 3 full turns as it sits in a deep grove in the lower bracket then to remove the upper bolt (very carefully) pull up the A/C line to fully remove the bolt gently. Then you can pull and twist( tire iron, pry bar, large screwdriver)the alternator around to disconnect the 12mm nut for the battery cable, It is very important that you notice and mark or even take a picture of the notch of the cable end and what grove, position that it is in. A Sharpe dab of paint using a Qtip. Then disconnect the connector and wiring harness clip (small needle nose in the square).When installing put the long bottom 14mm bolt in about a turn and a half so when installing you push down hard the alternator into the grove and then line up the upper bolt and start a few turns then "tighten" both. I hopes that this helps your video about this repair with the actual belt diagram. I did this repair in a parking lot on a 2013 Sonata that had 67k mileage. Not long for a alternator. How long does it take the battery to recharge after the alternator replacement?

Drive it for half hour. Sometimes the battery also has to be changed if someone drove a while with a bad alternator.

My upper bolt sit directly in line with that pipe to the left, as I try to pull it out. Pipe is blocking it and I still have about another inch of bolt to come out. Any advice?

Should come out like I showed in the video. You can try to unbolt the ac line brackets to flex the line a little bit.
