Does the kit work in the Police Interceptor Utility that has the SYNC option? I know the dinky non-SYNC version requires more work. What kind of support do you provide for DIYers that have sourced the parts from junkyards? Such as do you provide a harness that we can purchase separately?

No we do not support any à la carte purchasing. We require our kit to be ordered together because the harnessing is very specific and the programming needs to match exact part numbers to prevent further complications. We also want all parts involved in the install to go through our 20-point inspection process to ensure quality. If they vehicle has Sync this should work but if you email me the Vin at [e-mail] I can check with our tech's. Thank you.

No, the programmer comes preprogrammed based on the VIN and is included in the purchase price.

Have you done a police interceptor (2018 explorer) attempting to but does not seem to match up?

We haven't done the install on a police interceptor. There's a lot more going on in the dash with those vehicles. We've installed other units in interceptors. We would definitely recommend a professional installation.
