DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY on Mishimoto. I bought a Ryanstar separator on Amazon and it does the same thing just as well as a Mishimoto for $40.00, and no cheezy plastic fittings. The Ryanstar is machined aluminum, with aluminum thread in hose fittings, robust hoses, stainless hose clamps and two OEM style quick connectors. There is a baffle installed on the input side of the canister top and the screw on catch can portion of the device is fitted with an O-ring. The fixed portion of the catch can is fitted with a dip stick to check fluid level and it screws tightly into the top of the can. The metal mesh filter installed in the Mishimoto may not be such a good idea by causing too much back pressure when it becomes dirty. The mounting bracket is about three MM thick more than robust enough for the weight of the canister and hoses. The Ryanstar installs just like the Mishimoto and takes about 20 minutes. The kit comes with all the hardware/fasteners you need and they are of excellent quality. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY BOYS AND GIRLS.

Are folks getting any flack from Ford as far as warranty goes when adding this catch-can system? I am thinking about this kit as a preventative maintenance deal but having dealt with Ford before an a new 6.0 Powerstroke I had back in 2005..... I really don't trust the brand for warranty coverage. I do not plan on boosting or tuning my truck..... just preventative maintenance.

Put the can on the mount then mount the mount. That’ll save you a lost screw or two

Love this channel for the cool and needed products. But $200 for this catch can?! $50 on eBay or Amazon brand new. It’s not a great value. I am guessing they are a sponsor.

which one did you buy? I want to buy one but I feel it is very expensive 200
@Discomutt759 ай бұрын
If you have a v8 or v6 you need two cans. I got 2 cans from Amazon for $60 and got 1/2” oil lines from AutoZone. I took off the preformed hard hose and used a heat gun to take the open fittings off.

Is this necessary for my F-150 2024 power boost. And why doesn't the manufacturer install this in factory if it's so great? Thanks mate 😊👍
@andrewmontgomery1763Ай бұрын
Because it requires more owner maintenance, since you have to empty it. That’s certainly a liability for Ford, as a large majority of owners probably struggle to just get oil changes done.
@allenr265Ай бұрын
@andrewmontgomery1763 they can just have a hose where it empties into the street on its own. It's a small amount anyways.

Does it matter which hose connects to the intake I did my hoses opposite I did the 90 coming out of the crack case to the inlet and the other hose going back into the intake?
@lamatrisefontain982 ай бұрын
You actually did it the right way but you paid way to much for the Mishimoto.
