Do those for in an expedition 3.5 ecoboost ?

Buy this kit immediately! I have it on my 2014. The passenger side can is completely full at every oil change. This kit works. You will not be disappointed.

I have a UPR 4” dia. Mega catch can that picks up from both sides. It wasn’t cheap but this was built to last. The hoses are heavy duty with built in check valves and pretty easy to install being truck year specific. It’s amazing the crap that comes out of the catch can. If I could attach a photo I would.

I have a UPR on my 13 F150 EB and its the best one Ive tried thus far. I even tried the Full Race one because I like the styling but it didnt catch a thing. I empty my catch can every 4 days or so. I have this one on the way because I think it will look nicer and tuck away better than the UPR. I hope it works just as good.

I’ve been running the Mishi dual can setup in my 2016 3.5 eco boost for a year now. No check engine lights and both cans catch (and hold) a lot of oil. Would recommend.

@@boxerboi187 2.5 years in now and still no check engine lights. I empty both cans every oil change and they're both ~60% full of nasty, murky brown oil sludge.

I had a catch can on my 2013 and removed it due to it freezing. most of what your getting out is not oil it’s water I drained it and let it separate out I’d say 90 percent water. I live in a cold climate area and it’s full every fill up in the winter and if it freezes in a full can your truck runs like crap.

must be 100's a videos like this for install but nothing short to the point for how to drain

I installed this, it works great. But... the milk shake I just poured out of my driver side was just liked a vanilla milkshake... I know this is the goal of them but should I be concerned? The passenger was filled with a tannish yellow non viscous and not see through liquid with some globs of milkshake. They seem to fill up with this liquid and it smells like gas but looks almost like water is in there. I live in a cold climate and drive a lot.

I installed the catch cans now I’m getting white smoke out the tail pipe and a tablespoon of water in the can, no oil or fuel in the can. What does this mean?
@SotoPop4 жыл бұрын
I know some catch cans turn you check engine light on. Will this specific can cause that issue? Also can this help with the EcoBoost shudder?
@brentneahring27973 жыл бұрын
This one shouldn't. In terms of the infamous shudder problem, it mainly is one of a few things. 1. Oil in intercooler, I'd suggest a mishimoto one for an f 150 because it has a drain plug and it's good quality 2. Spark plugs, need to be full iridium plugs and may have oily tips from PCV blowby causing misfires 3. Throttle body caked with oil and sludge causing idle bouncing and possible pedal lag 4. Oily map sensors, very easy to clean with crc electronic spray cleaner
@diyguy69622 жыл бұрын
hi good day,i just want to ask if where did you put the sensor in the driver side?

If my truck already has a ton of miles, (about 160k), is it still worth getting one of these!?
@brandenboatright23095 жыл бұрын
Zak Sullivan I’m wondering the same thing. It definitely wouldn’t hurt. It’s expensive but I’m planning on biting the bullet and having the dealership do the Ford approved induction cleaning on my 92k ecoboost and then installing one of these. I just cleaned my throttle body and was horrified with how much oil was inside
@americantrucks5 жыл бұрын
Its never too late to keep your engine clean! Branden makes a great point. If you've just had an engine cleaning done installing a catch can system like this is a great way to keep it clean and extend the life of your truck. -Zach

@@brandenboatright2309 I have 85,000 on mine. How much were they charging for the cleaning?

Is there a Ford approved cleaning for this? I haven’t heard that. I just got a 2011 with EcoBoost and 140,000 miles. I bought a JLT catch can and get oil vapor smell coming in ac at stop lights. Had it a week now. Not very happy. Looking at other options or a fix for the JLT. It has loose machined threads and I’m currently trying Teflon tape to see if it seals it up. So anyway is there a Ford approved cleaning? Thanks
@idahofishandhunt5 жыл бұрын
@@SuperCoyotecaller Weird, I've been watching a lot of videos on this catch can, and I haven't heard this complaint. Most complain because they can't get it unscrewed in the winter.
@blakebarker43784 жыл бұрын
Will you be able to smell oil vapor through the hoses like most other oil catch cans like the JLT one? I guess JLT uses cheap hoses and allow oil smell to pass through getting into the HVAH. Can especially smell it at idle
@americantrucks4 жыл бұрын
I have no idea how this is even possible unless you have a loose/broken connection. The system is completely sealed and should no way have any affect on the HVAC system. Sounds like somethings up with your setup. -Justin

@mikeofalltrades693 жыл бұрын
You clearly don't understand what you're talking about. Doesn't matter what oil you use it will still end up on the back side of the intake valves. This will kill your engine that's the hassle you're trying to avoid SMH
