Yes true flagship from Audi, big and boaty, smooth and torque-y and also the previous Transporter movie (the classic first part) has the e38 I can't wait for the day you review that iconic flagship. They come in v8s (same engine as the x5 you said you owned.. and another older x5 you reviewed!) and v12s so would be cool to compare the two and hear your opinion on them.

This is a 2011??? I forgot how timeless that 3rd generation A8 is. It has the best exterior styling and the interior is still perfect and classy for me. Older Audis during this time were perfect in interior design and exterior design. Despite that 4.2L V8 being N/A, this thing is a beast and it moves. This engine was also used in the 1st gen Q7. The 1st gen R8 and 1st gen RS 5 also had 4.2L V8s, but they were totally different in design compared to this one, since both of those ones revved a lot higher. Idk much about this engine either. Imagine if you got the S8 of this generation with the biturbo 4.0L V8 making 513 HP. I watched The 2nd Transporter film from 2005, which featured the 2nd generation A8 with the W12 engine, and man it's such a cool car in the film :)

I think my Camry handles better than that car lol. Maybe I’m biased but my Camry feels super planted to the ground and gives a lot of feedback, gives a lot of confidence. Nice video.

Thank you for watching! I'd say this is closer to an Avalon, but with the added Quattro grip. The Lexus LS460 is also similar in its handling traits.

Sweet car! Definitely brake torque it would launch it harder. It is the same 4.2 FSI from the S5, although this A8 has a ZF 8 speed transmission where the S5 has the 6 speed.

I doubt it! There is not turbo on this one, so it wouldn't build any boost. Maybe it would have shaved 0.1-0.2s off the 0-60.

I forgot that the 1st gen S5 had this engine, before changing to the 3.0L supercharged V6, since the RS 5 had a 4.2L V8 but it revved to like 8250 rpm. So I guess to differentiate the two.

@@DMCarReviews yeah not by much, I have an S5 and I’ve done few tests. 5.41 from a dig and 4.96 brake torquing it, best times I got on a cold day. I have an ECU and TCU tune on it tho.
