Drove a 2013 xDrive35i for about 2 years. Traded in for an F15 X5 xDrive35i that i've been driving for 4 years. My F15 has some mild performance mods such as MPPK, MPE, charge pipe and high flow air filter. Confident to say I can run a 0-60mph in about 5.5 secs or less.

Great car for people who don’t want trouble and it will take you wherever you want to be. At the time of its release I despised it because it’s a grandpa car, and over twenty years later, I’m in the market for one, though I have no grandchildren children yet 😂 But I think I’ll choose the RAV4 from the same era, gas mileage is a little lower but it’s a less dull looking car.

I've driven the 2009 version of this SUV which is basically the same vehicle. This is no sports SUV; however the driving dynamics are superior to its competitors in the same price range. This Honda/Acura V6 is a legendary engine that has been in use since the late 1990s. The analog gauges are nice, but I wish Honda would not use the white background on the gauges as this is somewhat distracting.
@DMCarReviewsКүн бұрын

@@DMCarReviewsme too, they’re so unique, looks like something that’d be in a retro sports car than a 3 row SUV, parents both have a ‘12 model year Pilot, honestly for me with how bright the gauges are, they’re pretty easy on the eyes compared to a lot of full digital gauges with poor black levels

The fact that it can go so fast is in the name: Cx which is a value from aerodynamics that describes the drag that the car has.. during development and windtesting, the engineers discovered that it had the lowest drag in the world (at the time) and because of that.. they called it the CX!

This channel isn’t from a "car guy". Car And Driver has this car hit 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. Even on wet roads with good tires it'll still do better than what you did. Youre not even hitting it to the floor. My S3 is faster than this. Like wtf. Do better, dude
@DMCarReviewsКүн бұрын
Lmao, I wasn't even launching this car, and it was wet. Pedal was to the floor. Also, if you're a "car guy", you should know Car and Driver tests their cars from launch control and they subtract a 0.3s time for the 1ft rollout, lol.

My family has one of these and it's an awesome car, I love how it still has physical controls for everything and doesn't force you to use a touchscreen for basic things. It's also really well kitted out for being a base model. You can easily fit 6 people with plenty of room, and if you fold the seats down it's like an enclosed pickup truck. Way better than an SUV or crossover, don't know why more people don't buy minivans.

Wife had a 2000 Buick Regal GS with the same engine. It was a great car with one major exception: The ABS kept failing. GM did a total replacement 2 1/2x under warranty (the third time was 3,000 outside of warranty and Buick agreed to pay for half). The fourth time was about three years outside of warranty, the ABS had to be replaced again. Back then, cost was $3,900 on a car that had a resale value of $5,000. Decided to sell the car for $4,500 to CarMax, bought a 2007 Lexus GS350 and never looked back.

Since new, I have had a 2007 GS350 (RWD). 164,000 miles and it looks and drives as new. Other than replacing the ABS master brake cylinder (ouch at $3,300 at 105,000 miles), it has been extremely reliable. Change the oil every 3 - 3,500 miles and other fluids at about 80% of life expectancy and all is good. Change plugs every 60,000 miles. Still on the OEM radiator, alternator, cat converter, mufflers, AC condenser, and so on. Key to longevity is changing the fluids BEFORE what the manual says. Same philosophy applied to my 1985 Toyota Cressida with 215,000 miles and was going strong (before totaled by a runaway trash truck).
