Would this failing be the cause of the car having oil in the coolant.

@@EuropeanAutoRepair I'm not sure. It's a 2011 328i, I just got the car yesterday and checked the coolant and it's totally filled with oil

It’s not too bad of a job if you are feeling like doing it yourself, the book time is kind of high, I would recommend just taking it to a independent shop in your area that specializes in bmw and get their opinion, it’s likely you’re right. Should be a coupe hundred dollar job

@@EuropeanAutoRepair the car has many other electronic issues but I'm leaning towards the battery being many of them. I got it in a trade in my cop car crown Vic that I fixed up. 4.6 2 valves are easy engines to work on lol
