Having the sound level meter in the video was a nice touch! By any chance, have you ever measured how loud it is from inside the cabin?

Yes I have. Alittle louder then stock and alittle drone around 3000 rpm. Other then that almost the same with a deeper tone

It did. I think that stock muffler worn out. The Q300 got rid of that rasp and made it deeper.

Banach Family Vlog yes I was told Hybrid 3.5 CAI, Skunk2 Alpha, Full Race catback is best. However if you want a more subdue exhaust q300 is best while having similar power to Full Race. Honestly if I lose 5 hp to have a more manageable daily driver its well worth it for me. I am in my mid 30’s and can’t deal with all that nonsense 😁

@@MrBonderd I heard and thought the exact same thing as you. Lhtperformance did a really good before and after with a intake and header with a 8th gen Civic Si, and he used the OEM Mugen exhaust and still made good power. I’m going to do a exhaust video soon of what it sounds like while driving inside of the car with the windows up and with the windows down with the exhaust.

Banach Family Vlog yup! I noticed that LHT video. It was an 08 Mugen Si. That exhaust is slightly larger than a stock Si. So a q300 flows even better than both of those.

I had a skunk2 but got pulled over because it was too loud and with a $1k ticket and was told to switch it back to stock or something quieter… so I chose the Q300… I hate it because it doesn’t sound and feel the same no more😂 I live in Cali South Sacramento where all the damn pigs🤦🏻‍♂️

I haven’t heard the Skunk2 in person for the 8th gen but from videos everyone said the same thing you did. They sound so good but are loud.

The app was NIOSH SLM. I can't remoter how far away I was I believe I measured out 36 inches away.

Do you guys think the apexi ws2 sounds about the same or more quiet or more louder cause im considering getting the apexi or the invidia

The WS2 has a really nice sound as well. I went with the Invidia because it is 70mm and the entire exhaust 304 stainless steel. The Apexi WS2 is smaller piping, only being 60mm and only the muffler is 304 stainless steel. The center piping is a coated mild steel.

Yes, AFE drop in filter, the Q300 exhaust, and hondata flashpro and I tuned it.

Do you know how much louder it is with skunk 2 header installed and what app are you using to read the db

The Q300 is known to have a deeper sound while not being too loud. This does have a much deeper tone now without being too loud/raspy and annoying. Which is what I was looking for.

@@GoldSK96 No problem. In the cabin it's not much louder then stock but you can hear the deeper tone throughout the entire rev range. Also there is a slight drone right around 3000 rpms.

Was originally debating between Q300 and Full Race because Skunk 2 is obnoxious imo. I went Full Race 3" catback, everything else stock besides AEM CAI. 0 regrets.

This exhaust says it's for the Si only. I tried looking for a part number for the Invidia Q300 the 8th gen Civic with the 1.8 and didn't find any. Yonaka makes a nice sounding exhaust for the 2006-2011 Civic with the 1.8 2dr and 4dr. I had a Yonaka on my Integra and it had a nice deep tone just like this exhaust.

Thanks for the feed back. Yes I can make an inside car video but this video was made to know what it sounds like from the outside. People do want to know how loud it is from the outside. Want to know the sound, tone, if it has rasp. Its good to know how something sounds from the outside cause if you own it you're always hearing it from the inside not the outside. Cold start for waking up neighbors or other family members if they leave for work in the morning. Some neighborhood or communities have rules for how loud something can be.
